To change the series

To change the series, take the following steps:

1. Create the new series to be used, in the number group assigned to the order type or record type, by using the First Free Numbers (tcmcs0150m000) session.
2. Block the series currently used, by using the First Free Numbers (tcmcs0150m000) session.

3. Depending on the document type or record type:

   • Start the Purchase Offices (tdpur0112m000) session to assign the new series to the purchase orders and the other purchase-document types.
   • Start the Sales Offices (tdsls0512m000) session to assign the new series to the sales orders and the other sales-document types.
   • Select the new series if you create a new record such as a business partner, an address, or a contact.
