The sequence number of the order. For each sequence, one or more samples are drawn to test the characteristics.
Order Specific Inspection Lines (qmptc0151m000)Use this session to display or maintain order-specific inspection data lines. For each characteristic or aspect/characteristic combination, an inspection line is available. The data related to this characteristic can be changed for this specific order.
Inspection Sequence The sequence number of the order. For each sequence, one or more samples are drawn to test the characteristics. Inspection Line The number that identifies the inspection order line. Aspect A part of an item. For example, a bolt can have the aspects head and tail. An aspect can have one or more characteristics. For example, a head can have a diameter and a length, and a tail can have a diameter and a color. Characteristic A reference to a particular quality or distinctive mark of an item or an item part/component. For example, diameter, length, weight. Characteristic Type The type of value that is measured. Characteristic Unit The unit in which an item's characteristic is expressed, for example, meters, kilograms. Note If you selected Fraction or Integer in the Characteristic Type field, you must fill in the Characteristic Unit field. If you selected Option, the Characteristic Unit field will become blank. Characteristic for Algorithm If this check box is selected, this characteristic is used as a variable or constant in the algorithm of another characteristic. Option Set A group of possible values of a characteristic. For each value (option) you can indicate whether it is acceptable or not. The options blue and red form an option set Example
Note You can enter an option set if the Characteristic Type field is on Option. Method The type of characteristic value or the way in which the characteristic value is calculated. Algorithm An expression that is used to compute a characteristic by means of other variables or fixed characteristics. Note You can only enter data in the Algorithm field, if you entered Algorithm in the Method field. Enter the name of the algorithm that is used to calculate the characteristic. Test An examination or check done on a characteristic. You can link one or more tests to a characteristic. Test Area The physical location where tests take place. Destructive Test If this check box is selected, the test is destructive and the item cannot be used after testing. If this check box is cleared, the test is not destructive and the item can be used after testing. Result Type The type of result reported to the user. Test Unit The unit that applies to the test. For example, meter, liter, or kilogram.. Note The characteristic unit is the default value. The test unit and the characteristic unit must have the same physical quantity. Test Sequence The test sequence specifies the sequence in which the characteristics in a test group are tested. If the value of the Test Sequence field is zero, the sequence of this aspect/characteristic is not important for testing. An aspect/characteristic with a zero test sequence value will be tested after all other tests have taken place. Example
Explanation: The destructive test will take place last. Note The sequence number can be the same for more than one characteristic. When this is the case, the tests will be sorted by aspect/characteristic, unless the test sequence number is zero. Test Standard The standard normally used for the test. For example, a DIN standard Skill The specific know-how or technical expertise that an employee must have to carry out activities. For example, knowledge of electricity, specific equipment, and so on. Employee The person that performs the test on this characteristic. Instrument A tool that is used during quality tests to measure particular characteristics of an item. Example
Instrument Group The code of the instrument group. The group of instruments with similar characteristics. Description The description or name of the code. Instrument Number The number of the instrument that can be used to trace the instrument. Description The description or name of the code. Fixed Characteristic Value A characteristic value that is determined once, and which is compared to the test results entered in the Inspection Order Test Data (qmptc1115m000) session. Note This field only applies if the Method field is set to Fixed. Characteristic Standard The standard normally used for characteristics. This is an informative field. For example, a DIN standard Value Type The value type of the characteristic. Allowed values Chart Name The code of the chart name to which the nominal values are applicable. Note This field is available only if the Nominal option is selected in the Value Type field. Chart Type The code of the chart type for which the nominal values are applicable. Note This field is available only if the Nominal option is selected in the Value Type field. Tolerance Standard The code of the tolerance standard linked to the nominal value range. Note This field is available only if the Nominal option is selected in the Value Type field. Nominal Value The nominal value of the characteristic, expressed in the characteristic unit. Note This field is available only if the Nominal option is selected in the Value Type field. Norm The norm is the desired quality for this characteristic, expressed in the characteristic unit. Note This field does not apply if you enter Fixed in the Method field or Option in the Characteristic Type field. Upper Limit The highest characteristic value, expressed in the characteristic unit for which the quality is acceptable. Note The Upper Limit field must be greater than or equal to the value in the Norm field. Lower Limit The lowest characteristic value, expressed in the characteristic unit for which the quality is acceptable. Note The Lower Limit field must be less than or equal to the value in the Norm field. Origin An integrated module or package to which an (inspection) order is related. Position The number of the order line to which the inspection order applies. This can be the position of the sales order line, the position of the purchase order line, or the position of the estimated materials. Defect Classification The severity of the defect. Allowed values Reference Designator The location where the item component can be inserted. This value is used to differentiate between two test group lines with the same data. Note You can select this value from the Reference Designators (tcmcs0190m000) or the Standard Test Procedure Characteristics (qmptc0115m000) session. Operation One of a series of steps in a routing that are carried out successively to produce an item. The following data is collected during a routing operation:
This data is used to compute order lead times, to plan production orders and to calculate standard cost. A quality inspection must take place, during or after this operation.
Validate Algorithm Checks the validity of the order specific algorithm data.
