| To create order groups in Enterprise PlanningNote It is recommended to avoid overlapping order groups, that is,
multiple order groups with criteria that can select the same planned orders.
Otherwise, you cannot always predict to which order group a planned order will
be assigned. To create an order group, complete these steps: - Start the Create Order Group for Planned Orders (cppat3250m000) session.
- In the Planned Order Group Series field, enter a series. You must select a series from the number group specified in the Number Group for Order Grouping field in the Planning Parameters (cprpd0100m000) session.
- To make the order group an automatic-update order group, select the Automatic Update check box.
-
Use one of the following methods to specify which planned
orders to include: - Click Spec. Orders and select specific planned orders.
Note: This option is available only if the Automatic Update check box is cleared.
- Specify the criteria for planned orders that must be
included in the order group, such as the order status.
- In the Maximum Group Size field, specify how many planned
orders the order group can contain.
- Click Create Group.
Important! If a planned order belongs to an order group, you cannot add
the planned order to another order group, even if the planned order meets the
criteria for inclusion. If you click Create Group, LN collects the planned
orders that meet the specified criteria, and displays these planned orders in
the Assign Production Orders to Planned Order Group (cppat3151s000) session. - Specify which of the selected planned orders must be included
in the new order group.
- To confirm the selection, on the appropriate menu,
click Assign Selected Orders to Group.
