Fixed deliveries in Enterprise Planning

If you want to use fixed moments for the delivery of goods that you supply, for example, every Friday afternoon, Enterprise Planning can take this into account in the planning process.

You can define incidental fixed delivery moments on a specific date, or a pattern of fixed delivery moments for recurring fixed delivering.

To define a fixed delivery pattern

To define a fixed delivery pattern, take the following steps:

  1. Create pattern that defines a set of pattern moments. For more information, refer to Defining patterns.
  2. Define a fixed delivery code in the Fixed Delivery Codes (cprpd2110m000) session, link the fixed delivery code to a pattern, and select the appropriate supply sources for which LN must apply the fixed delivery code.
  3. Link the appropriate fixed delivery code to a plan item in the Items - Planning (cprpd1100m000) session.
Usage

If you have set up fixed-delivery data, Enterprise Planning uses fixed deliveries in order planning, according to the following process:

  1. First, LN calculates the planned finish date of, for example, a planned production order.
  2. Next, LN shifts the unconstrained date to the first available fixed delivery date before the unconstrained date.
Note

The Planned Finish Date of the planned purchase orders cannot be calculated for the items, for which you define Fixed Delivery in the Items - Planning (cprpd1100m000) session and purchase lead time or the Safety Time in the Items - Purchase Business Partner (tdipu0110m000) session.
