Stock Point Blocking (whwmd6130m000)Use this session to block or unblock stock points stored in a warehouse or a warehouse location. You can unblock these stock points by storage unit and reason for blocking. Note To view additional details of a blocked stock point, click the blocked stock point and from the appropriate menu, select Blocked Stock Points to start the Blocked Stock Points (whwmd6550m000) session. If present for the blocked inventory, you can view and maintain project peg or ownership details in the Blocked Stock Point Details (whwmd6152m000) session, which you can start from the Blocked Stock Points (whwmd6550m000) session. To block a stock point
The blocked quantity cannot be more than the difference between the Inventory in Storage Unit and the Process Blocked Quantity in Storage Unit as specified in the Item - Inventory Structure (whinr1550m000) session. If the blocked stock point is initiated by Quality and serial numbers are specified for which the storage inspection apply, you can view the blocked serial numbers in the Serial Blocking (whwmd6135m000) session. In this case, you cannot change the blocked serial numbers. Block low volume serials If you partially block a stock point that consists of low volume serialized items, you can specify the blocked serialized items in the Serial Blocking (whwmd6135m000) session. To start the Serial Blocking (whwmd6135m000) session, in the current session, select the appropriate line and, from the appropriate menu, click Serial Blocking. Block by Quality If you create a storage inspection in Quality, LN automatically blocks the stock point or quantity to be inspected. As a result, a record is created in the current session for which the following applies:
Note
Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR) You can view the NCMR for a specific stock point using the Report button, only if the Non-Conformance Implemented check box is selected in the Quality Management Parameters (qmptc0100m000) session. You can view the blocked stock points for a specific warehouse/ location/ item combination. The following sort options are available: Non-Conforming Material Report, Warehouse, Location, Item, Lot, Inventory Date, Reason for Blocking and Sequence. Unblocking a stock point To unblock a stock point, select and delete the appropriate line. The setting of the Blocking by User check box in the Warehouse Master Data Parameters (whwmd0100s000) session determines the user authorities for unblocking.
Warehouse A place for storing goods. For each warehouse, you can enter
address data and data relating to its type. Location A distinct place in a warehouse where goods are stored. A warehouse can be divided into locations to manage the available space, and to locate the stored goods. Storage conditions and blocks can be applied to individual locations. Item The raw materials, subassemblies, finished products, and tools
that can be purchased, stored, manufactured, and sold. An item can also represent a set of items handled as one kit, or which exist in multiple product variants. You can also define nonphysical items, which are not retained in inventory but can be used to post costs or to invoice services to customers. The examples of nonphysical items:
Lot A number of items produced and stored together that are
identified by a (lot) code. Lots identify goods. Inventory Date A date that is assigned to items when they are stored. You can
use inventory dates to retrieve items based on FIFO (First In First Out) or
LIFO (Last In First Out), without carrying out extensive lot control. The meaning of the inventory date is connected to the outbound priority of LIFO, FIFO, or the product expiry date of the item. With outbound priority LIFO or FIFO, the default for the inventory date is the system date; however, you can overwrite this so that the inventory date does not have to be equal to the storage date. If the item has a particular shelf life, the inventory date is the product expiry date defined for the item. Reason for Blocking The reason of the blocking. This reason can be linked to a
blocking of a zone, location, lot, stock point, or serialized item. Non-Conforming Material Report The non-conforming material report (NCMR) number. Description The description related to the non-conforming material
report. User The logon code of the employee who activates a blocking. Only
the user who activates a block can remove it. Sequence The sequence number that identifies each block if more than one
block applies to the stock point. Blocking Fully Blocked If this check box is selected, the entire stock point
is blocked. If this check box is cleared, the stock point is partially blocked. If the stock point is partially blocked, the Blocked Quantity in Storage Unit fields must be specified. You can also specify the package definition of the stock point to which the block applies. The blocked quantity is less than or equal to the difference between the Inventory in Storage Unit and the Process Blocked Quantity in Storage Unit as specified in the Item - Inventory Structure (whinr1550m000) session. Package Definition The package definition of the stock point to which the block
applies. You can only specify the package definition if the Fully Blocked check box is cleared. Blocked Quantity in Storage Unit The blocked quantity of the stock point expressed in storage unit. You can only specify a blocked quantity if the Fully Blocked check box is cleared. Unit The storage unit. You can only specify the storage unit if the Fully Blocked check box is cleared. Blocked Quantity in Inventory Unit The blocked quantity of the stock point expressed in inventory unit. Unit The inventory unit. User Name The name of the user who blocked the inventory for a specific stock point. Blocking Date The date and time on which the inventory is blocked for the
specific stock point. When the stock point is blocked, LN registers the
date. Non-Conforming Material Report If this check box is selected, LN indicates that non-conforming material report (NCMR) is created for a
blocked stock point. Note This is a display field. Created by QM If this check box is selected, the block is created by Quality. If you create a storage inspection in Quality, LN automatically blocks the stock point or quantity to be inspected. As a result, a record is created in the current session, for which the following applies:
If the blocked stock point is initiated by Quality and serial numbers are specified for which storage inspections apply, you can view the blocked serial numbers in the Serial Blocking (whwmd6135m000) session. In this case you cannot change the blocked serial numbers. Stock Point Inventory Inventory on Hand The quantity of inventory on hand available for the stock point. Blocked The quantity of the stock point inventory that is
blocked. Inventory Structure Inventory on Hand The quantity of inventory on hand available for the inventory structure. Manually Blocked Quantity in Storage Unit The quantity of the inventory structure that is manually
blocked expressed in storage unit. Text If this check box is selected, additional text related to the reason for
blocking can be specified.
