Zone/Location Blocking (whwmd6110m000)Use this session to block or unblock single locations or a subset of locations by (un)blocking a warehouse or a zone. By unblocking a location, you make the location available again for inventory transactions. Note To view the blocked stock points of a zone or location, click the blocked zone or location and from the appropriate menu, select Blocked Stock Points to start the Blocked Stock Points (whwmd6550m000) session. If present for the blocked inventory, you can view and maintain project peg or ownership details in the Blocked Stock Point Details (whwmd6152m000) session, which you can start from the Blocked Stock Points (whwmd6550m000) session. Insert a line to set a block. You can set more blocks on a location by entering more blocking reasons for each warehouse, zone, or location. Delete a line to unblock. When all blocks imposed on a warehouse, zone, or location are removed, the warehouse, zone, or location is unblocked. You cannot delete a block inserted by another user. When a block for a zone or location is set or lifted, the inventory on hold, the item inventory, and the lot quantity are updated. Use the Global Zone/Location Blocking (whwmd6210m000) session to block or unblock a:
Warehouse A place for storing goods. For each warehouse, you can enter
address data and data relating to its type. Storage Zone A part of the warehouse that can be assigned to specific
employees or vehicles. Each location can be assigned to a zone. Location A distinct place in a warehouse where goods are stored. A warehouse can be divided into locations to manage the available space, and to locate the stored goods. Storage conditions and blocks can be applied to individual locations. Reason for Blocking The reason of the blocking. This reason can be linked to a
blocking of a zone, location, lot, stock point, or serialized item. By linking one or more blocking codes to a warehouse, zone or location inventory within this warehouse, you can block a zone or location. You can block inventory several times. Only the person who activated the block may lift it. Authorization to remove a block is determined by your logon code. The selected type of blocking reason determines whether Enterprise Planning takes inventory blockings into account. User When a location is blocked by a user, the logon code of the user who activated the blocking is
registered. Only the person who activated a block can remove it. Blocking Date When a location is blocked, LN automatically
registers the date on which this blocking occurred. This date is purely
informative. Text If this check box is selected, additional text related to the reason for
blocking can be specified.
