Handling Unit Stock Point Details (whwmd5136m000)

Use this session to register the lot codes or serial numbers for the serialized or lot items contained in the current handling unit. This applies only to lot items and serialized items in the high volume scenario.

For handling units with status Staged, you can specify whether serialized or lot controlled and serialized items must be Not Shipped.

Changes to the lot and serial registration and the shipped or not shipped quantities are updated in the Shipment Line Stock Point Details (whinh4133m000) session.

Handling Unit
A uniquely identifiable physical unit that consists of packaging and contents. A handling unit can contain items. A handling unit has a structure of packaging materials used to pack items, or is a part of such a structure.

A handling unit includes the following attributes:

  • Identification code
  • Packaging item (optional)
  • Quantity of packaging items (optional)

If you link an item to a handling unit, the item is packed by means of the handling unit. The packaging item refers to the type of container or other packing material of which the handling unit consists. For example, by defining a packaging item such as Wooden Crate for a handling unit, you specify that the handling unit is a wooden crate.

The item contained in the handling unit.
Multi Item
If this check box is selected, the handling unit contains different items.
Shipment
The shipment to which the handling unit is linked.
Shipment Line

This command is available if the item is a high volume lot item.

To use this command:

  1. In the current session, select a line.
  2. Click Split Line for Lots on the toolbar.
  3. In the Quantity field of the Split Handling Unit Stock Point Details (whwmd5236m000) session, specify the number of items that the new line must contain.
  4. Click Split.
  5. In the new line, specify a lot code.
