Fixed Locations (whwmd3502m000)Use this session to view the location data for locations that are fixed for a specific item.
Item The item code. Warehouse The warehouse code. Location A fixed location for the item
in the current warehouse. You can also link the item to other warehouses. For
each warehouse to which you link the item, you can define the fixed location in
which the item must be stored. Note You must define location beforehand in the Warehouse - Location (whwmd3100s000) session. Inbound Priority The location's inbound priority number. LN uses this number when
generating inbound advice. The highest
allowed priority is 0 and the lowest allowed priority is 999999. When generating inbound advice, LN first checks whether any fixed locations are available where the items can be stored. If so, LN checks the inbound priority as it was recorded in the Fixed Locations (whwmd3502m000) session. With equal priorities, the location code is the decisive factor. If items cannot all be stored in the fixed locations, LN considers locations that are not fixed but only if you selected the Use Free (Unfixed) Locations when Generating Inbound Advice check box in the Warehouse Master Data Parameters (whwmd0100s000) session. If more locations are available that are not fixed, these locations are also handled in sequence of inbound priority. This priority can be recorded with a number by location, as well as location by item. The lowest number has the highest priority. If several non-fixed locations exist for the same item, LN will advise by sequence of location code (when priorities are equal). The lower the code, the higher the priority. Minimum Inventory The minimum quantity of the inventory at a specific location in
the warehouse. Unit The unit in which the inventory is expressed. Minimum Replenishment Quantity The minimum quantity of the inventory that must be
replenished.
