Using the Where Used option in the Item, Lot and Serial sessionThe Where Used option provides a bottom-up view of the item selected in the Selection (whltc3600m200). The bottom-up view is displayed in the graph that constitutes the Tracking (whltc3800m000) session. The selected item is displayed in the top folder. The higher levels of the physical breakdown structure of the selected item are displayed in the subfolders. For example, if the selected item is a bottom-level component in the BOM structure of an end item, this item is displayed in the top folder of the graph. The higher level components in which the selected item is used are displayed in the cascading folders. In this way, you can view all components and end items in which the selected item is used. Note
If you right-click a folder in the graph, you can start various sessions in which details of the item, lot, and/or serial number contained in the folder are displayed. If you select a folder in the graph, all transactional information relating to the item, lot, and/or serial number contained in the folder is displayed in the Item, Lot and Serial Transactions (whltc3510m000) session, which constitutes the lower half of the Item, Lot and Serial 360 (whltc3600m100) session. Example The picture shows the Item, Lot and Serial 360 (whltc3600m100) session, in which item D, serial 11760 and the Where Used option is selected. Item D, serial 11760, is used as a component of the serials 0023, 024, 22, and 25. The user selects serial number 0023 of item C and then selects serial number 10, item A. This is the top-level component of item serial number 0023 of item C. The transactions related to serial number 10 are displayed in the lower half of the Item, Lot and Serial 360 (whltc3600m100) session.
