Items

These item types are always allowed on orders related to a WMS-controlled warehouse:

  • Purchased
  • Manufactured
  • Cost
  • Service
  • Subcontracted Service

Items of type Tool are not allowed in WMS-controlled warehouses.

If, however, in the WMS Interface Parameters (whwmd2105m000) session, the Non-physical Items check box is cleared, orders with items of type Cost, Service or Subcontracted Service are not sent to the WMS, but will be handled by LN.

The item type List is only allowed on inbound or outbound orders related to a WMS-controlled warehouse if the corresponding Inbound BOM/List Items and/or Outbound BOM/List Items check boxes are selected.

LocationsWMS-controlled warehouses cannot have locations.
Negative inventoryNegative inventory in a WMS-controlled warehouse is not allowed.

If LN handles the allocation of goods, the check on negative inventory will be performed during the release of outbound advice. If release of outbound advice is blocked because of negative inventory, the user can modify outbound advice or postpone release until the physical stock is stored in the warehouse.

If WMS handles the allocation of goods, the check on negative inventory will be performed during the creation of outbound advice based on the delivery message. If outbound advice causes negative inventory in a WMS-controlled warehouse, the delivery message will be rejected.
