Adjustment Order Line Lots and Serials (whinh5126m000)

Use this session to maintain lot (not in inventory) numbers and serial numbers for the serialized items and/or lot items of the current adjustment order line.

To maintain lot (not in inventory) numbers for lot-controlled items in the current session, in the Item - Warehousing (whwmd4100s000) session, make sure that the Lots in Inventory check box is cleared. Note that lot (in inventory) numbers are maintained in the Adjustment Order Lines (whinh5121m000) session.

Serialized items

If the actual inventory is lower than the stockpoint inventory for an adjustment order line, you must insert a variance of -1 and an adjustment of 0 for each of the missing serial numbers. If the actual inventory is higher than the stockpoint inventory, add additional serial numbers and for each additional serial number, insert a variance of 1 and an adjustment of 1. For further information, see To perform inventory adjustments.

Lot-controlled (not in inventory) items

If, for an adjustment order, the actual inventory is less than the stockpoint inventory, you must specify a negative variance to adjust the stockpoint inventory accordingly. If the actual inventory is higher than the stockpoint inventory, insert a positive variance to adjust the stockpoint inventory.

Note

For both lot items and serialized items (not in inventory), the variance in the current session cannot exceed the variance in the Adjustment Order Lines (whinh5121m000) session.

Order Line
The order number of the adjustment order.
/
The order line number.
Warehouse
The warehouse where the items pertaining to the adjustment order are located.
Item
The raw materials, subassemblies, finished products, and tools that can be purchased, stored, manufactured, and sold.

An item can also represent a set of items handled as one kit, or which exist in multiple product variants.

You can also define nonphysical items, which are not retained in inventory but can be used to post costs or to invoice services to customers. The examples of nonphysical items:

  • Cost items (for example, electricity)
  • Service items
  • Subcontracting services
  • List items (menus/options)
Variance
The variance of the adjustment order line for the item.
Variance
The unit used to express the variance.
Sequence
The sequence number of the adjustment order line.
Serial Number
The unique identification of a single physical item. The serial number can consist of multiple data segments that represent, for example, a date, model and color information, sequence number and so on.
Lot
The lot number of the item.
Stock PointInventory
The stockpoint inventory before adjustment.
Stock Point Inventory
The unit used to express the stock point inventory.
Inventory Adjusted (Inventory Unit)
The stockpoint inventory after adjustment. You can overwrite the default value.
Variance
The difference between the quantity as registered in LN and the quantity actually counted at the stockpoint, expressed in inventory unit. You can overwrite the default value.
Serial Status
The status of the serialized item. The serial statuses apply only to low volume serialized items. Possible values

For a positive adjustment, you can add a serialized item. This can be either a new serialized item, that is, a serialized item not previously registered in the system, or a serialized item present in the system, for example, a serialized item with status Removed (the Removed status was allocated because the item was supposedly shipped from the warehouse).

If you add a serialized item present in the system, the previous status is automatically added. For example, if the item that you are adding has status Removed, LN allocates the status that the item had before it obtained the Removed status.

If you add a new serialized item, that is, a serialized item not previously registered in the system, you can set the status of the serialized item in this field.

Insert all Stock Point Serials
Use this command to insert the serial numbers that exist at stockpoint for the item on the current adjustment order line. For the inserted serial numbers, you can then set the variance as required.
Link Serial(s)
Use this command to link serial numbers to the items of the current adjustment order line. In the high volume scenario, you can select the items that you want to link from the Serialized Items (tcibd4501m000) session. In the low volume scenario, you can select the items that you want to link from the Item - Serials and Warehouses (whltc5100m000) session. For further information, see To register serial numbers in the high volume scenario, To register serial numbers in the low volume scenario, and Serialized items in Warehousing.
