Compose Load (whinh4134m000)

Use this session to compose loads by adding shipments, removing shipments, or moving shipments to other loads using the options from the appropriate menu.

Note

Use the Maps section to view the location of the Ship-from Address and the Ship-to Address. You must select only one record at a time.

 

Load
In LN, all goods and/or shipments carried by one means of transport on a specific date and time and using a specific route.
Total Weight
The load's total weight.
Total Weight
Unit of measure in which the weight is expressed.
Carrier/LSP
An organization that provides transport services. You can link a default carrier to both ship-to and ship-from business partners. In addition, you can print sales and purchase orders on a packing list, sorted by carrier.

For ordering and invoicing, you must define a carrier as a business partner.

Route
The code of the route that is used to ship the goods. If you generate an outbound advice, you can select all warehousing orders for a specific route to create a run.
Shipment
All goods that are transported to a specific address on a specific date and time by using a specific route. An identifiable part of a load.
Carrier Tracking Number
The number given by the carrier to identify the load or shipment. The carrier uses this number for tracking purposes.
Weight
The total weight of the goods of the shipment.
The unit of measure in which weight is expressed. This is used throughout Warehousing to handle the location capacity in terms of weight.

For example:

  • Maximum weight
  • Available weight

The physical quantity of the Weight field should be of the Weight type.

Ship-To
The ship-to type is used, together with the ship-to code, to identify where goods are shipped to.

The ship-to type can have the following values:

  • Business Partner
  • Warehouse
  • Work Center
  • Project
Ship To Code
A code used, together with the ship-to type, to identify where goods are shipped to.
Ship-to Address
The business partner to whom you ship the ordered goods. This usually represents a customer's distribution center or warehouse. The definition includes the default warehouse from which you send the goods, the carrier who carries out the transport, and the related sold-to business partner.
Shipment Date Interval
You can add outbound-order lines to the shipment with a planned delivery date that is the same or later than the date in this field.
Status
The shipment's status.
Shipment Date/Time To
You can add outbound-order lines to the shipment with a planned delivery date that is earlier or the same as the date in this field.

 

Add Shipment
Starts the Find Shipments (whinh4830m000) session that you can use to find a shipment to add to the load.

You can only add shipments to the load if the load's status is Open.

Move Shipment to Load
Starts the Find Shipments (whinh4830m000) session that you can use to move the selected shipment to another load.

You can only move shipments to the load if both the shipment and the load's status is Open.

Freeze
Freezes the load, shipment, or shipment line.
Confirm
Confirms the record.
Print Loads
Starts the Print Loads (whinh4440m000) session. By default, LN starts this session to print the report.
