To use the search engine

When calls are reported in the Call (tsclm1100m000) session, you can use the search engine in Service to quickly find Installation groups or serialized items.

If you apply the search engine to LN users, the LN user who enters a new call in the Call (tsclm1100m000) session can click on:

  • The Installation Group field to automatically start the Search Criteria (Installation Groups) (tsmdm0280m000) session.
  • The Item field to automatically start the Search Criteria (Serialized Items) (tsmdm0281m000) session.

To apply the search engine to a LN user:

  1. In the General Service Parameters (tsmdm0100m000) session, on the Searching tab , select the Apply Search Engine for Installation Groups check box and/or the Apply Search Engine for Serialized Items check box.
  2. Under Search Argument: Location Address, select up to five search arguments with index, and up to five search arguments without index.
  3. On the appropriate menu, choose Replace Location Add. Search Arguments.
  4. In the Replace Location Address Search Arguments (tsmdm0200m000) session, click Replace.

To apply the search engine to users who enter calls, select the Automatic Start check box in the Service User Profiles (tsmdm1150m000) session for the applicable users. For further details, see the Help of the Automatic Start check box.
