Use this session to view and manage data related to the subcontracting of manufactured items.

BOM Quantity
The number of manufactured items to which a bill of materials (BOM) applies. The BOM quantity enables you to specify very small item quantities as BOM components.
Example

You need very small amounts of certain colors to mix one liter of a specific paint, Cotton White. Therefore, a BOM quantity of 1000 liter is defined. The component quantities for the paint can then be as follows:

White999 liter
Yellow0.6 liter
Red0.2 liter
Blue0.2 liter

Critical in Planning
Specify which capacity is critical when planning. The specified capacity is used by Enterprise Planning and Project Control network activities:
  • Enterprise Planning
Dependent on the value, Enterprise Planning uses man capacity or machine capacity to express the capacity use in the resource master/order plan.
  • Project Control network activities
Dependent on the value, PCS network activities use man capacity or machine capacity to calculate the value of the Aggr. Estim. Cap. [H] field in the Activities (tipcs4101m000) session and the Activity Overview by Project (tipcs4502m000) session.
Note

JSC does not use this field because in JSC the capacity use is always expressed in terms of man capacity and in terms of machine capacity.
