Machines are linked to operation rates. The operation rate and the labor rate together form the basis for the actual costing of production orders.
Machines (tirou0102m000)Use this session to select or enter a machine, and to maintain machine data for a specific site. This data includes the rate for the machine costs and the machine capacity. Whether the machine rate data is used for the actual costing of production orders depends on the setting of the Process Hours using field in the Production Order Parameters (tisfc0100s000) session. If the Process Hours using field is set to Actual Man and Machine Rates, the machine rate that is defined in this session and the labor rates from the Employees - General (tccom0101m000) session, form the basis for actual costing. On the appropriate menu you can choose:
Note If you started this session by zooming, you can only find and select a record.
Machine In LN,
a mechanical object on which operations can be carried out to produce items. Machines are linked to operation rates. The operation rate and the labor rate together form the basis for the actual costing of production orders. Work Center The work center where the
machine is installed. This field is used in a number of sessions, such as the Calculate Resources (tirou0201m000) session. Work centers must be predefined in the Work Centers (tirou0101m000) session. Machine Rate The machine rate depends on criteria such as:
The machine rate is used in actual production order costing if the Process Hours using field in the Production Order Parameters (tisfc0100s000) session is Actual Man and Machine Rates. In this case, the machine rate, together with the labor rate defined in the Employees - General (tccom0101m000) session, forms the basis for actual costing. The actual costs consist of: Machine Costs = Operating Hours * Machine Rate Labor Costs = Working Hours * Labor Rate If you cannot determine an accurate machine rate, you must calculate an average rate based on the total machine costs. This rate must be realistic with respect to the machine. Machine Rate One of a company's base currencies in which LN registers and reports
amounts. In a multicurrency system, up to three home currencies can be defined: Cost Component A cost component is a user-defined category for the
classification of costs. Cost components have the following functions:
Cost components can be of the following cost types:
Note If you use Assembly Control (ASC), you cannot use cost components of the General Costs type. Week Capacity [Hours] The machine's normal number of operating hours per week. This
value is used to determine machine utilization, and is displayed as Normal Capacity in the Machine Utilization by Week (tisfc1504m000) session. Basic Day Capacity The machine's normal number of operating hours per day. This
value is used to determine machine utilization, and is displayed as Normal Capacity in the Machine Utilization by Day (tisfc1505m000) session. Desired Queue The difference between the planned output and planned input of a work
center that the user wants. This value is the default for initial queue
calculations.
Tools Starts the Machine - Tools (tirou0110m000) session. Where-Used Starts the Routing Operations (tirou1102m000) session
in which you can view the routing operation(s) in which a specific machine is
used. Task Relationships Starts the Task Relationships (tirou0104m000) session
in which you can list and maintain relationships between tasks, machines, and
work centers.
