Copy Customized Product Structure to Standard Structure (tipcs2232m000)

To copy the product structure of a customized item to a standard item.

Note

If a customized structure is copied to a standard structure, the Customized check box is cleared.

Customized Item
An item produced on a customer specification for a specific project. A customized item can have a customized BOM and/or a customized routing and is normally not available as a standard item. A customized item can, however, be derived from a standard item or a generic item.
Note
  • Standard items are expressed in an item code.
  • Segmented items consist of a project code segment and an item base segment (the item code of the customized item). The segments an item can consist of are defined in the Item Code Segmentation (tcibd0500m000) session.
Copy only components valid for Effectivity Unit
A reference number, for example a sales order line or a project deliverable line, that is used to model deviations for a unit effective item.
Standard Item
A purchased item, material, subassembly, or finished product that is normally available.

All items that are not built according to customer specification for a specific project are defined as standard items. Opposite term is customized item.

Note
  • Standard items are expressed in an item code.
  • Segmented items consist of a project code segment and an item base segment (the item code of the customized item). The segments an item can consist of are defined in the Item Code Segmentation (tcibd0500m000) session.
Target Routing Code
Enter the code of the standard routing to which you want to copy the customized product structure.
Copy Method for Product Structure
In this field you can choose to copy the entire product structure or only its first level, or to make the copying process interactive.
Reference Date
The date in this field determines that only those parts of the project structure are copied that are valid on the date specified.
Copy E-Item Relationships
If this check box is selected, the E-item relationships are copied as well.
Copy all components and all effectivity statements
If this check box is selected, unit effectivity is copied from a customized product structure to a standard structure. You can fill in the unit for which you want to copy unit effectivity. Exceptions are copied for routings and routing operations that fulfill the date effectivity conditions.
Alternative Material
If this check box is selected, the alternative materials of the BOM components are copied as well. If this check box is cleared, the copying process ignores the alternative materials.
Use Up Material
If this check box is selected, the use-up materials of the BOM components are copied as well. If this check box is cleared, the copying process ignores the use-up materials.
New Item Codes for Existing Standard Components
If this check box is selected, LN generates new item codes for existing standard components.
Approve Conversion Factors
If this check box is selected, LN copies the conversion factors to the target item, and then directly approves the conversion factors

If this check box is cleared, LN copies the conversion factors to the target item. However, use the Conversion Factors (tcibd0103m000) session to manually approve the conversion factors.

Copy to Standard Item Configuration
If this check box is selected, the customized item or the generic item product structure is copied to the specified standard item configuration.
Note

The product structure can only be copied to the specified standard item configuration when the product variant is not active in Order Management. If active supply orders for the product structure are present, they will lose relation with the sales order/quotation when the product structure is regenerated.

This field is only enabled if you select the Use Standard Item for Configuration check box in Product Configuration Parameters (tipcf0100m000) session.

If a customized structure is copied to a standard structure, the check box Customized on the standard structure is cleared.
