Options by Product Feature and Configurable Item (tipcf1110m000)

Use this session to define one or more options for the prodcut feature per configurable item.

These options represent the maximum domain for the relevant product feature. This maximum domain can be restricted by defining constraints. Use a self-explanatory code, because options are used as values in constraint expressions.

Note

With the text manager, you can record a detailed description for each option. This text can be called up in the Product Configurator (tipcf5120m000) session and can be printed on external (sales) documents.

Item
The code of the configurable item to which product features and options apply.
Default Supply Source
The source that supplies an item by default. You can use purchase orders or schedules, production orders or schedules, assembly orders, or warehousing orders to supply an item.

The default supply source determines what type of order is used to supply the item, but in general, you can override the default and specify an alternate source.

This field can be used to determine what type of supply order LN must create if you enter a sales order for this item and the item's inventory on hand is not sufficient.

If the item type is Manufactured or Generic, this field can be Job Shop or Assembly.

If the item type is Engineering Module, this field is Assembly and cannot be changed.

If the item type is Purchased, this field is Purchase and cannot be changed.

Sequence Number
Option
The code that uniquely identifies an option for a product feature.

Options must have self-explanatory codes, because they are used as values in constraint expressions.

Description
The description of the option. This description needs not be the same as the description of the general option for the product feature, as defined in the Options by Product Feature (tipcf0160m000) session.
Effective Date
The effective date for the option. This option applies to the product feature from this date on.

LN displays the current date by default.

Expiry Date
The expiry date for the option. This option no longer applies to the product feature from this date on.

If you leave this field empty, the option remains valid for an indefinite time period, starting from the effective date.

If this check box is selected, additional text is present.
