To set up a microrouting

In the Routing module, you can define operation steps for a microrouting and link instructions, tools, or process variables to the operation steps.

Dependent on the information that you want to link to a microrouting's operation step, take the following steps:

Instructions
  1. Define instructions in the Instructions (tirou0106m000) session.
  2. Select a routing operation in the Routing Operations (tirou1102m000) session.
  3. Click Operation Steps on the appropriate menu to link operation steps to the operation in the Operation Steps (tirou1105m000) session.
  4. Select an operation step in the Operation Steps (tirou1105m000) session.
  5. Click Instructions on the appropriate menu to link instructions to the operation step in the Operation (Step) - Instructions (tirou1112m000) session.
Note

If you want to link instructions directly to the routing operation, on the appropriate menu of the Routing Operations (tirou1102m000) session, click Instructions. As a result, the Operation (Step) - Instructions (tirou1112m000) session starts in which you can link instructions to the operation.

Tools
  1. Define tools in the Tools Requirement Planning module.
  2. If the tools belong to a specific machine, you can link default tools to a machine in the Machine - Tools (tirou0110m000) session.
  3. If you defined a task relationship in the Task Relationships (tirou0104m000) session, you can link the tools to the task relationship in the Task Relationship - Tools (tirou0115m000) session.
  4. Select a routing operation in the Routing Operations (tirou1102m000) session.
  5. Click Operation Steps on the appropriate menu, to link operation steps to the operation in the Operation Steps (tirou1105m000) session.
  6. Select an operation step in the Operation Steps (tirou1105m000) session.
  7. Click Tools on the appropriate menu, to link tools to the operation step in the Operation (Step) - Tools (tirou1110m000) session.
Note

If you want to link tools directly to the routing operation, on the appropriate menu of the Routing Operations (tirou1102m000) session, click Tools. As a result, the Operation (Step) - Tools (tirou1110m000) session starts in which you can link tools to the operation.

Note

You can also use the Operation (Step) - Tools (tirou1110m000) session to define additional default tools information for an actual production order's operation, as present in the Estimated Tool Requirements (titrp0111m000) session.

Process variables
Note

If you want to prevent a process variable being ever removed completely from a microrouting, select the Mandatory check box in the Task Relationship - Process Variables (tirou0116m000) session.

  1. Define process variables in the Process Variables (tirou0105m000) session.
  2. If you defined a task relationship in the Task Relationships (tirou0104m000) session, you can link the process variables to the task relationship in the Task Relationship - Process Variables (tirou0116m000) session.
  3. Select a routing operation in the Routing Operations (tirou1102m000) session.
  4. Click Operation Steps on the appropriate menu, to link operation steps to the operation in the Operation Steps (tirou1105m000) session.
  5. Select an operation step in the Operation Steps (tirou1105m000) session.
  6. Click Process Variables on the appropriate menu, to link process variables to the operation step in the Operation (Step) - Process Variables (tirou1111m000) session.
Note

If you want to link process variables directly to the routing operation, on the appropriate menu of the Routing Operations (tirou1102m000) session, click Process Variables. As a result, the Operation (Step) - Process Variables (tirou1111m000) session starts in which you can link process variables to the operation.
