Classifying items in GRT

Step 1. 

To classify an item that already exists in the Item Base Data module, enter the item in the Item field of the Classify Items (tigrt0180m000) session. If it is a customized item, enter the project in the Project field.

Step 2. 

Select a family to let LN know by which features the item must be classified. If you select a previously classified item, LN displays the family to which the item belongs. You cannot reassign an item that has already been classified to another family. If you want to do that, you must first delete the classified item data.

Step 3. 

Click Continue on the appropriate menu to start the classification process. One by one, LN asks the questions associated with the features. When you have answered a question, LN proceeds with the next question. If a particular feature is coded by means of a calculation, you will have to make LN execute this calculation after answering the calculation question. LN will then proceed with the next question.

Step 4. 

LN saves the classified item after the classification process has been successfully completed. If the item that you classify already exists (and is registered in Item Base Data module), the item retains its original code.
