Segment Schedules (tiapl4500m000)

Use this session to calculate and display segment schedules.

Roll-off Line
The code of the roll-off line where the end product comes off.

The roll-offline is used to offset the line segments, which means that the time between the start of a line segment and the end of the roll-off line is calculated.

Assembly Line
The assembly line whose assembly part requirements are calculated, based on the segment schedule displayed in this session.

The line segment displayed in the Line Segment field is a segment of this line.

If the code of this line differs from the code that appears in the Roll-off Line field, the line is a supply line.

Line Segment
The line segment for which the assembly part requirements are calculated, based on the segment schedule displayed in this session.

The segment is a segment of the assembly line that appears in the Assembly Line field.

Planned Offline Date From
The start date of the date range for the displayed line segment.

A product variant whose requested offline date falls in this range requires its assembly parts for the displayed line segment on the date that appears in the Date Scheduled field.

Note

The first period of a segment has no start date. In that case the current field is empty. As a result, the Date Scheduled of the record applies for all assembly part requirements up to the Planned Offline Date To.

Planned Offline Date To
The end date of the date range for the displayed line segment.

A product variant whose requested offline date falls in this range requires its assembly parts for the displayed line segment on the date that appears in the Date Scheduled field.

Date Scheduled
The date on which the assembly parts for the displayed line segment are required, if the requested offline date of the product variant falls between the Planned Offline Date To and the Planned Offline Date From.

Update
Updates the segment schedules.

Because the Calculate Assembly Part Requirements (tiapl2221m000) session must use the most up-to-date schedule, that session automatically updates the segments if a change is detected that affects the schedules. However, not all changes can be detected automatically. In some cases, the schedule must be updated manually, either through this Update command, or by selecting the Update Segment Schedules check box in the Calculate Assembly Part Requirements (tiapl2221m000) session.

The schedules must be updated manually when:

  • The line structure is changed.
  • The plan period definition of the current scenario is changed, while the reference date is not changed.
