Business Processes by Reference Model (tgbrg3160s000)

Use this session to display and maintain business process details.

Note

In this session you can only change the model specific details. Changes to the repository details would influence all business models that have this business process incorporated.

If your current modeling version is not the same as the version of the reference model in which the business process is incorporated, you cannot change any details of the business process.

Sequence
The sequence number of the business process in the business model.

If a business process is added to the business model, the sequence number is automatically increased by 1. This value can, however, be overwritten.

Note

This sequence number only takes effect in the Business Processes by Reference Model (tgbrg3560m000) session and in the Process Browser where it is used to sort the business processes.

Example

You can number the business processes in such a way that they indicate which subprocesses belong to which (main) business process.

Business Process
A set of one or more activities and states that collectively realize a business objective.
Subprocess
If this check box is selected, the business process is a so-called nested process, which means that the business process is incorporated into another business process.
Version
A group of model items that share some characteristics, such as the customer, owner, and effective date.
Version
The description or name of the version.
Description
The description or name of the business process.
Category
A division within a system of classification. Most model items can be categorized.
Business Process Category
The description or name of the category.
Owner
An ERP user who has created a model item or version, or the ERP user who is responsible for the model or version.
Owner
The name of the owner.
Generation Date
The date when the business process was created in the Business Processes (tgbrg5500m000) session.
Expired
If this check box is selected, the business process has expired.
Support Application
One or more applications that can be linked to a business process or an activity to help the employee carry out the process/activity. Note that a support application can contain both applications and other support applications.
Support Application
The description or name of the support application.
Repository Help
If this check box is selected, repository help is available, which provides you with further information about the business process.
Model-Specific Help
If this check box is selected, model-specific Help is available, which provides you with further information about the business process.
Set by Rule
The transformation rule based on which the business process is included in the reference model.
Set by Rule
The description or name of the model item.
Date
The date when the last changes were made to the business process in the Business Processes (tgbrg5500m000) session.
Last change time
The time when the last changes were made to the business process in the Business Processes (tgbrg5500m000) session.
User
The user that made the last changes to the business process in the Business Processes (tgbrg5500m000) session.
User
The name of the user who made the last changes to the business process in the Business Processes (tgbrg5500m000) session.
Diagram Status
The stage in the development of a model item.
Diagram Status
The description or name of the status.
URL
Uniform Resource Locator (URL). An address for a resource on the Internet. URLs are used by Web browsers to locate Internet resources.

A URL specifies:

  • The protocol to be used in accessing the resource (such as http: for a World Wide Web page, or ftp: for an FTP site).
  • The name of the server on which the resource resides (such as www.whitehouse.gov).
  • The path to a resource (such as an HTML document or a file on that server).

If you click this button (or command), the repository Help that is linked to the selected business process is displayed.

If you click this button (or command), the Text Editor is started so that you can create model-specific Help.

If you click this button (or command), the model-specific Help is displayed.
Open
Starts the associated Web browser on the client for the specified URL.
