Unit Effectivity Parameters (tcuef0100s000)Use this session to define and maintain the unit effectivity parameters.
Effective Date The date and time that the parameters are valid. The parameters
are valid up to the effective date of a more recent parameter setting. Description The description of the parameter set. For example, you can
indicate why you change the parameters. If you do not edit the description, and
you create a newer parameter set, the description of the former parameter set
displays the introduction date in the Unit Effectivity Parameters (tcuef0500m000) session. Generate Effectivity Unit during Demand Entry Generate Effectivity Unit during Demand Entry This check box determines how unit effectivity is applied in the following
places:
If this check box is selected, an effectivity unit is automatically generated if you create a new sales quotation line or sales order line for a unit effective item. The effectivity unit can be used for pegging purposes. If desired, you can click Requirements to select requirements to model the item. Unit effectivity is then used as a simple configurator. The effectivity unit is linked to the series that is defined in the Default Series field. If this check box is cleared, and you create a new sales order line, sales quotation line, or sales contract line for a unit effective item, the effectivity unit is by default 0 (zero). Only if you click Requirements, an effectivity unit is created, after which you can select requirements to model the unit effective item. Default Series If the Generate Effectivity Unit during Demand Entry check
box is selected, effectivity units are automatically generated for unit
effective items on the sales order lines. Those effectivity units are linked to
the series defined in this Default Series field. Miscellaneous All Effectivity Units are Interchangeable If this check box is selected, all effectivity units are
interchangeable for all orders. Interchangeability means that the demand for
specific material and/or end items can be exchanged between orders that contain
different effectivity units. Use Upgrade Prices A price that is defined for a requirement in Unit Effectivity (UEF).
If the requirement is used in an effectivity unit's configuration, the upgrade
price is added to the effectivity unit's sales price. Number Group for Effectivity Unit Select the number group for unit effectivity. LN uses the first free
numbers function to generate the effectivity-unit sequence numbers. In the Number Groups (tcmcs0151m000) session, define the number group as follows:
