Calendar Working Hours (tcccp0120m000)

Use this session to display and maintain working hours types for a specific combination of an availability type and calendar code. You can also maintain capacity details for that combination.

The working hours types that you connect to a combination of calendar code and availability type in this session, determine the time and capacity available for the specific combination of calendar and availability type.

To allow LN to display the working hours per each of the following, on the appropriate menu, click View By:

  • 4 Weeks
  • Quarter
  • Half Year
  • Year

The appropriate menu also provides various options to zoom to sessions that contain more calendar details.

Calendar
The calendar code and availability type combination by which the calendar working hours are defined.
Base Workweek
The default workweek used with the specified availability type.
Note
  • If a date effective workweek is defined, the selected workweek may be overruled.
  • You can define base workweeks in the Workweeks (tcccp0105m000) session.
Calendar Start Date
The start and end dates of the calendar that you defined in the Calendar Code (tcccp0110m000) session.
Period
The period for which LN displays the working hours and capacity data.

To change the period Day to one of the following values, on the toolbar, click the corresponding icon:

  • Day
  • Week
  • Month
  • Year

To allow LN to display the working hours and capacity data per each of the following, on the appropriate menu, click View By:

  • 4 Weeks
  • Quarter
  • Year
Period Dates
The start and end dates of the specified period.
Date
The date on which a specific working hours type is defined for the specified calendar/availability type combination.
Note
  • You can specify more than one working hours type for the same date.
  • If the working hours types that you specify for a specific date overlap, LN gives a warning.
Day
The day of the week.
Start Time
The start and end times of the working hours type as defined in the Working Hours Types (tcccp0103m000) session.
Note

You can manually change the default value.

Sequence Number
The unique identification of a single physical item. LN uses a mask to generate the serial number. The serial number can consist of multiple data segments that represent, for example, a date, model and color information, sequence number, and so on.

Serial numbers can be generated for items and for tools.

Shift Name
The name of the shift that specified.
Note

Shifts must be defined in the Shifts (tcccp0102m000) session.

Efficiency Factor
A variable that LN uses to take into account differences in the daily availability of a resource, such as when working overtime, hiring extra staff, or working in different shifts. For example, if an employee works six hours out of a possible eight hours on a project, the efficiency factor is 0.75.

Efficiency factors influence the lead-time calculation in Enterprise Planning.

Note
  • If you hire additional resources to perform the work, the lead time of operations shortens.
  • Efficiency factors affect the lead-time calculation for which the corresponding calendar is used. In other words, these factors affect the speed at which the work is carried out.

Related topics

Capacity Percentage
The percentage of the available production capacity that is the basis for work center utilization views and reports. For example, if a work center's working times are 06:00 - 16:00 (10 hours), the effectivity factor is 1.0 and the capacity percentage is 80%. 8 hours of production order execution corresponds with a capacity utilization of 100%.

The default capacity percentage is 100%.

Default value

Is retrieved from the Capacity Percentage field in the Working Hours Types (tcccp0103m000) session.

For example, if you enter 80 here, a resource cannot be used for more than 80 percent of a time interval of the current time interval type.

Working Hours Type
The working hours type that you link to the specified availability type of the calendar.
Note
Description
The description of the working times.

Default value

Retrieved from either the Calendar Exceptions (tcccp0144m000) or the Non-working Days (tcccp0119m000) sessions.

Derived From
The recurrence code, or name of the parent calendar from which the working times are derived.
Note

If you did not specify a parent calendar in the Calendar Code (tcccp0110m000) session, did not define calendar recurrences, or a non-available day for a specific date, LN derives the calendar settings for that day from the workweek.

Available
If this check box is selected, the resource linked to this calendar code and availability type combination is available.

Default value

Selected

Note

To make an entire day unavailable, clear the Available check box for each availability type that you specified for that day, or select it as unavailable in the Non-working Days (tcccp0119m000) session.

Hours
The number of hours available for this working hours type.

The formula that LN uses to calculate the value of the Hours field is as follows:

(End Time - Start Time) * Efficiency Factor
Capacity [Hrs]
The available capacity in hours for the working hours type on this line.

The formula that LN uses to calculate the capacity is as follows:

Hours * Capacity Percentage

Hide Derived Working Times
Hides the working hours that LN derived from the workweek, the parent calendars, calendar recurrences, and unavailable days. LN displays only the working hours and capacity details that you manually defined in the Calendar Working Hours (tcccp0120m000) session.
