Inspection Order Lines (qmptc1101m000)

Use this session to maintain inspection order lines. For each combination of an aspect and a characteristic, an inspection line is available. The data related to the characteristic can be changed for this specific inspection order.

Tabs
  • General Details about the characteristic.
  • Test Data Details about the method of testing.
Note

You cannot modify a record if the test data of the line already exists. If the order line status is set to Completed no new lines can be added for this origin order.

You can view the transaction events related to a specific item, serial or lot combination for an inspection order, order inspection and non-conformance reports in the Item, Lot and Serial Transactions (whltc3510m000) session of Warehousing.

Related topics

Inspection Order
An order used to structure the inspection of products that are purchased, produced, or sold.
Line
The position number on the order to which the inspection order is linked. This can be the position number of the sales order line, the position number of the purchase order line, or the position number in the BOM.
Order Line Status
The order line status indicates the current status of the inspection line.

The status is changed in several sessions:

  • Inspection Order Lines (qmptc1101m000) (free)
  • Print Inspection Orders (qmptc1400m000) (printed)
  • Inspection Order Test Data (qmptc1115m000) (active)
  • Complete/Process Order Inspections (qmptc1202m000) (completed)
Planned Start Date
The planned date on which the user initiates the inspection of the characteristic.
Planned Completion Date
The planned date for the completion of the inspection of the characteristic.
Aspect
A part of an item. For example, a bolt can have the aspects head and tail. An aspect can have one or more characteristics. For example, a head can have a diameter and a length, and a tail can have a diameter and a color.
Characteristic
A reference to a particular quality or distinctive mark of an item or an item part/component. For example, diameter, length, weight.
Reference Designator
The location where the item component can be inserted. This value is used to differentiate between two test group lines with the same data.
Note

You can select this value from the Reference Designators (tcmcs0190m000) or the Standard Test Procedure Characteristics (qmptc0115m000) session.

Defect Classification
The severity of the defect.

Allowed values

Defect Clasification

Characteristic Type
The type of value that is measured.
Characteristic Unit
An expression that is used to compute a characteristic by means of other variables or fixed characteristics.
Note

You can use the Algorithm field, only if you enter Algorithm in the Method field. Enter the name of the algorithm which will calculate the characteristic.

Characteristic for Algorithm
If this check box is selected, this characteristic can be used as a variable or as a constant in the algorithm of another characteristic.
Option Set
A group of possible values of a characteristic. For each value (option) you can indicate whether it is acceptable or not.

The options blue and red form an option set

Example
CharacteristicpH value
TestLitmus test
Optionsblue = acceptable
red = not acceptable

Note

You can enter an option set if the Characteristic Type field is on Option.

Method
The type of characteristic value or the way in which the characteristic value is calculated.
Algorithm
An expression that is used to compute a characteristic by means of other variables or fixed characteristics.
Note

You can use the Algorithm field, only if you enter Algorithm in the Method field. Enter the name of the algorithm which will calculate the characteristic.

ActualStart Date
The date on which the first data is entered for the inspection order line. This date is updated in the Inspection Order Test Data (qmptc1115m000) session and cannot be modified.
ActualCompletion Date
The date on which the inspection is reported as completed. This date is updated in the Complete/Process Order Inspections (qmptc1202m000) session, and cannot be modified.
Test
An examination or check done on a characteristic. You can link one or more tests to a characteristic.
Test Area
The physical location where tests take place.
DestructiveTest
If this check box is selected, the test is destructive and the item cannot be used after testing.
Result Type
The type of result reported to the user.
Test Unit
The unit that applies to the test. For example, meter, liter, or kilogram..
Note

The characteristic unit is the default value. The test unit and the characteristic unit must have the same physical quantity.

Test Standard
The standard normally used for the test. For example, a DIN standard.
Test Skill
The specific know-how or technical expertise that an employee must have to carry out activities. For example, knowledge of electricity, specific equipment, and so on.
Employee
The person that performs the test on this characteristic.
Instrument
A tool that is used during quality tests to measure particular characteristics of an item.
Example
Instrumentacidimeter
CharacteristicpH value

Instrument Group
The code of the instrument group. The group of instruments with similar characteristics.
Description
The description or name of the code.
Instrument Number
The number of the instrument that can be used to trace the instrument.
Description
The description or name of the code.
Fixed Characteristic Value
A characteristic value that is determined once. A characteristic value that is determined once.
Note

The fixed characteristic value is compared to the test results entered in Inspection Order Test Data (qmptc1115m000) session.

This field only applies if the Method field is set to Fixed. If the Characteristic Type field is set to Integer, the Fixed Characteristic Value field is rounded off to the nearest integer.
