Freight Order Control Parameters (fmfoc0100m000)

Use this session to maintain the Freight Order Control parameters. In this session, you can define the following settings:

  • Number group for freight orders.
  • Series for freight orders originating from warehouse, sales, purchase, or enterprise planning orders.
  • Default values for freight orders such as transport types.
  • Default loading and unloading date tolerances for freight orders that originate from purchase orders, sales orders, enterprise planning orders, and warehouse orders.

Effective Date

In the actual set, or parameter set, the Effective Date field is empty, but the effective date is taken as the default value in the Description field.

In parameter sets that precede the actual set, the effective date is displayed in the Effective Date field.

If you make a change in the actual set, the changed set becomes the new actual set.

Number Group for Freight Orders
The number group that is to be used for freight orders.
Step Size for Freight Order Lines
In this field you can define the interval for freight order line numbers, for example 10, 20, 30, or 5, 10, 15. Therefore, the first freight order line receives number 10, the second number 20, and the third receives number 30, or the first freight order line receives number 5, the second receives number 10, and the third number 15.
Transport Type
The default transport type that is added to new freight orders. If a transport means combination or a transport means group is selected for the current parameter set, the transport type is taken from the transport means combination or transport means group. You must not change this value.
Transport Means Group
The default transport means group for freight orders. For the transport means group that you select in this field, the Independent Use Allowed check box must be selected.
Transport Means Combination
The default Transport means combination for freight orders.

If a transport means group is selected in the Transport Means Group field, you cannot select a transport means combination. If a carrier is inserted for the current item, the transport means combination must be attached to this carrier. In the Transport Means Combinations by Carrier/LSP (fmfmd0144m000) session, you can attach transport means combinations to carriers.

Series for Purchase Origin
The series to be used for freight orders originating from purchase orders.
Series for Sales Origin
The series to be used for freight orders originating from sales orders.
Series for Warehouse Origin
The series to be used for freight orders originating from warehouse orders.
Freight Order Type
The default freight order type that is added to new freight orders.
Engineering Revisions Active
If this check box is selected, engineering item revision control is active. Engineering item revisions are defined in Manufacturing. An item can have several revisions. Revision codes are derived from the revised engineering items.
Series for Enterprise Planning Origin
The series to be used for freight orders originating from Enterprise Planning orders.
Series for Service and Maintenance Origin
The series to be used for freight orders originating from Service orders.
Log Freight Order History
If this check box is selected, a history record is created for each change that is made to a freight order or a freight order line. If you do not require history records for freight orders or freight order lines, clear this check box.
