Complex Conditions (dmqry0507m000)Use this session to link two or more queries to a main query. The Complex Conditions (dmqry0507m000) session can be invoked from the Specific menu of the following sessions: To start the Complex Conditions (dmqry0507m000) session from the Query (dmqry0501m000) session, the main query type must be linked query. If you start the Complex Conditions (dmqry0507m000) session from the Previous Runs (dmqry0503m000) session, the session is read only. You can view the condition on which the previous run was performed. You cannot modify the data. To work with the Complex Conditions (dmqry0507m000) session: The object type and query fields are filled with the selected values from the Query (dmqry0501m000) session. The link type is always set to And. The link direction can be the following: Link Member to Owner: The base query object is a member of a family owned by linked query object. If the link type is Link Member to Owner, you are prompted with all the families of which the query object is a member. On selection of a particular family, you are prompted to select a query based on the family owner as the object . For example, query Q-001 is based on CR. The user selects the family FATT_DOCS, of which CR is a member. The user must select a query Q-0010 based on the family owner of FATT_DOCS, which is DOCS. Link Owner to Member: The base query object is the owner of the family and the linked object is a member. If the link type is Link Owner to Member, the user is prompted with all the families for which the base query object is the owner. On selection of a particular family, you are prompted to select an object from the list of members of the selected family. Then you are prompted to select the linked query which is based on the previously selected object For example, query Q-001 is based on CR. The user selects the family FATT_CR with CR as the owner. The user then clicks EITM as the linked object from a list of member object of FATT_CR. The user then clicks Q-0011 based on EITM. Combined Queries: Queries based on the same object type are linked. If the link type is combined queries, the user is prompted to select a query based on the query object type. For example, Q-001 is based on CR, the user clicks a query Q-0012 based on CR. Queries are defined based on a single object type, or based on combined queries.
Object Type The object ID which acts as an identifier. Click the browse
arrow in the Query (dmqry0501m000) session for the object type to select the query
instance. Query The query ID which acts as an identifier. To select a query
click the browse arrow in the Query (dmqry0501m000) session for the specified object for which the complex
query conditions are created. Query Type The Description of the query type. The query type for the
complex conditions query will be set to linked query. Link Type Specifies the type of link to another query of a different
object. Link Direction Used to link queries that are based on the same object type or
on various object types. You must specify the link type and the link direction
for the query to be linked. Link Member to Owner: The base query object is a member of a family owned by the linked query object. Link Owner to Member: The base query object is the owner of a family and the linked query object is a member. Combined Queries: Queries based on the same object are linked. Linked Family Value is dependent on the link direction selected. If the link
direction is Member to Owner, the family must be from the list of families
where the Base Query Object is a member. If the link direction is owner to
member, the family must be from the list of families in which the base object
is the owner. If the link type is combined, the family is the same as the base
query object. Linked Object Displays the linked object that is linked to a complex
condition. This field is enabled only if the link direction field is set to
Owner to Member. To choose the object, the user can zoom to the Objects
session. If the link direction is Member to Owner, this field is directly
populated with the object, which is the owner of the chosen object family. If the linked direction is combined, this
field has the same value as that of the base query object. Linked Query Displays the query that is linked to the complex condition. Select the
query associated with the linked object. This query must belong to the chosen
linked object.
Query Conditions You can view the query conditions for the selected linked
query.
