Object Links (dmcom9110m000)

Use this session to maintain the objects of a specific type that are linked to a specific object.

Example

To maintain the links between documents from folders, contracts, change requests, and so on, do the following:

On the File menu, click New to add an object to the list.

Click the browse arrow on the ID field to open the overview session of the relevant object type.

You can now link either a new or an existing object to the object for which links are being maintained. To link:

  • Select an existing object and click OK.
  • Create a new object and click OK.

The View Fields and Grid Fields appear dynamically in the session. The values for these fields are populated from the Objects (dmsys1511m000) session.

The details can be the document, revision, type, and so on and for the target object (folder) the details are taken from the FLDR object definition. The details can be folder and version.
