	Generate Pegging Relations (cprrp0240m000) Use this session to generate the pegging relations that show which orders for materials are related to which orders for end items. The difference between this session and the Generate Order Planning (cprrp1210m000) session is, that this session generates only pegging relations. The Generate Order Planning (cprrp1210m000) session generates planned orders and optionally also pegging relations. Each scenario represents one overall planning solution, and involves particular settings for the planning of items and resources. You can use scenarios to analyze and compare various planning options and to find the best planning solution. For example, you can vary demand forecasts or sourcing strategies. One of the scenarios is the actual scenario, which corresponds with the actual planning situation. You can only transfer planned orders and production plans from the actual scenario to the execution level of LN. Plan Level The level within a hierarchical planning structure. When you plan on a higher plan level, plans are general and less detailed. Example Plan level 1 is the highest plan level; the higher the number, the lower the plan level. Options Net Change Run If this check box is selected, LN updates the pegging relations only for the plan items marked as changed since the previous pegging update. If a plan item has changed since the previous pegging update, the Pegging Net Change check box in the Items - Planning (cprpd1100m000) session is selected. For more information, refer to the Net-change pegging update section in Pegging for planned orders. Delete Current Pegging Relations If this check box is selected, LN deletes all pegging relations for all scenarios before the updated pegging relations are generated. If you select this check box, you get a better system performance. However, if you want to keep the pegging relations for other scenarios, you must clear this check box. Parallel Processing If this check box is selected, LN distributes the calculations over multiple LN shells, also known as bshells, to improve performance. The pegging exception messages are also updated. You can also send the report to the display browser for a quick overview of the planning problems. LN also stores the exception messages in the database.
