Verify Software Components (tlvsc3400m000)

Use this session to verify software components. The session performs the checks that are defined for the selected verification code, and prints a report with the resulting warnings. You can save these warnings, so that you can handle them later.

Use the first tab of the session to define general process settings. Among other things, you must specify:

  • The verification code that contains the checks you want to execute.
  • The package combination, and the packages and modules, that contain the components you want to verify.
  • Settings for the report that will be printed.
  • Various other options.

In the second tab you must enter selection ranges for the different component types, to exactly identify the components that you want to verify.

To maintain the warnings that the session generates, click Maintain Warnings. The Warnings (tlvsc3500m000) session starts, where you can view and handle the generated warnings. For more information, refer to To handle warnings.

注意

The session is started automatically when you run VSC from a session where you maintain software components. For example:

  • When you check-in a session in the 进程 (ttadv2500m000) session.
  • When you click the Verify Software Components command in the shortcut menu in the 进程 (ttadv2500m000) session.

In these cases the session starts in a non-interactive mode, and displays only basic information, such as the verification code, the package combination and the code of the software component that is verified.

Process Settings
Verification Code
Theverification code that contains the checks you want to execute.
Package Combination
The package combination that contains the components you want to verify.
Specified VRC only
If this check box is selected, VSC only checks components in the package VRCs that are part of the selected package combination. VSC does not check components from the underlying VRCs (the VRCs that are in the derivation path of the VRCs in the package combination).

If this check box is cleared, VSC verifies components in both, the package VRCs in the selected package combination, and the underlying VRCs.

For example: the package combination contains the tcB61O_a_cus1 VRC. This VRC is derived from tcB61U_a_stnd and tcB61U_a_stnd is derived from tcB61_a.

  • If this check box is selected, VSC only checks tc components in the tcB61O_a_cus1 VRC.
  • If this check box is cleared, VSC checks tc components in the tcB61O_a_cus1, tcB61U_a_stnd and tcB61_a VRCs.
Save Warnings
If this check box is selected, the warnings that are printed in the report are stored in the Warnings Application Design (tlvsc300) table, so that you can handle them later. To maintain the saved warnings, click Maintain Warnings. The Warnings (tlvsc3500m000) session starts, where you can view and handle the generated warnings. For more information, refer to To handle warnings.

If this check box is cleared, the warnings are not saved, and therefore cannot be handled.

Check only Packages/Modules in System Synchronization
This check box is only relevant if system synchronization is defined in the System Synchronization (ttiex1560m000) session and in the Module Synchronization (ttiex1561m000) session.

If this check box is selected, VSC only verifies components of packages or modules that are maintained on your current LN development server.

If this check box is cleared, VSC verifies both, components of packages or modules that are maintained on your current LN development server, and components of packages or modules that are maintained on a different development server.

Checklist
If this check box is selected, the session prints a report of the "Filtered to Handle" warnings that are generated. The "Non-filtered" warnings are not printed.

If this check box is cleared, the session does not print a report.

Accepted too
If this check box is selected, the session prints both accepted and unaccepted warnings.

If this check box is cleared, the session only prints unaccepted warnings.

Totals
If this check box is selected, the session prints a summary at the end of the report.

The summary contains the following information:

  • The total number of verified components per component type.
  • The total numbers of accepted and unaccepted warnings, split up by priority.
Sort on Priority
If this check box is selected, the warnings in the report are sorted on priority: High, Suspicious, Normal, Low.
Process Ranges
Session
If this check box is selected, you can verify a range of sessions and, optionally, the corresponding session components.
Session Components
If this check box is selected, the session verifies the components, such as the forms, program scripts, reports and tables, of the selected sessions.

Use these check boxes to select the software component types you want to verify. Per component type, you can enter the desired range in the corresponding selection fields.
