Activity Management (ACM)

Use the Activity Management module to define and maintain the activities that must be carried out on items that require maintenance.

To support the planning and the execution of maintenance, predefined activities need to be defined. In the Activity Management module, you can define and maintain these predefined activities based on maintenance documents and problem reports. The predefined activities are called reference activities.

The reference activities can be structured in a hierarchical aggregation relationship that can be used for planning purposes. Besides the hierarchical relationship also a sequential relationship can be defined for the reference activities. This relationship can be used to define the sequence in which the activities must be performed.

For on-condition maintenance, the maintenance activities that need to be performed depend on the condition of the item to be maintained. To facilitate selection of the appropriate maintenance activities different repair options can be predefined that specify the required maintenance activities for predetermined condition states. After determination of the condition of the maintained item during maintenance execution, the appropriate repair option(s) can then be selected, resulting in selection of the appropriate maintenance activities.
