Milestone Details Description The milestone description. Search Key An alternative form of a description used for convenience during searching. Typically, it is an abbreviation, an acronym, or a mnemonic alternative to a full description. Parent Activity The code of the parent activity to which an activity is linked. A tree activity structure is formed when you link an activity to a parent activity. When you select the parent activity, you must consider the following criteria:
Linked Activity If the EVM of an activity is defined as Milestone, the milestone must in turn be linked to the activity. This lets you define the exact moment at which the specific earned budget-amount is released. Customized Item The customized item (from the PCS project) linked to the milestone. The link makes it possible to detect the completion of any given manufactured item (in the bill of material) in your project scheduling. Scheduling Scheduled Date The date and time at which the milestone is scheduled. You can enter it manually or it can be saved from a particular schedule in the external scheduling package. Milestone Reached If this check box is selected, the milestone has been reached. You can define the milestone as completed, in the following ways:
Milestone Percentage The percentage earned when the defined milestone is reached, based on the Earned Value Method of the type, Milestone. This method is linked to the activity, and a percentage or amount of the budget is assigned to each milestone. Each time a milestone is reached, the assigned budget is released. Note This field is enabled only when the Activity Type is set to Milestone. The sum of all the milestone Percentages linked to the activity must be 100%. Actual Date The date and time at which the milestone is reached. You can enter it manually or it can be saved from a particular schedule in the external scheduling package. Revenues Extension The specific agreements within or in addition to the initial contract. An extension falls outside the initial contract with the sold-to business partner. Extensions can be assigned to the bottom-up budget. LN distinguishes four extension types:
Currency The currency of the milestone amount. Note This field is enabled only when the linked extension or the project has the Revenue Recognition Method field set to Milestones in the Projects (tppdm6100m000) and Extension (tpptc0110s000) session. Milestone Amount The amount linked to the milestone. This amount is considered when calculating revenue recognition. For more details refer to, Milestone Method. Note This field is enabled only when the linked extension or the project has the Revenue Recognition Method field set to Milestones in the Projects (tppdm6100m000) and Extension (tpptc0110s000) session.
