To use progress resultProgress can be registered on various levels. The most detailed level is cost object/control code level. For some resources it is difficult to record exact progress, for this purpose, you can control the progress registration at two places:
the progress to be recorded on cost object/control code level for the current project. The choices given are: Yes, No, and Variance= Inventory.
Based on the combination of field values you will get the following result:
Result 1: The progress you record on the cost object or control code will be used in the monitoring calculation as follows: performed = Progress (%) * Budget cost variance = Performed - Actual Result 2: You cannot register progress on the cost object or control code. As a result, in monitoring you cannot determine the performed from the progress: Performed = Actual, result is variance = 0 Result 3: The progress you record on the cost object or control code will be used in the calculation of monitoring as follows: The progress you record on the cost object or control code is not used to calculate the variance. The cost incurred, but not consumed according to your progress, are regarded as inventory. This leads to the following logic in monitoring: Performed = Progress (%) * Budget Inventory = Actual - Performed Result = 0 Notes:
