Shift Production Planning (tisfc1202m000)

Use this session to shift the production planning. If you create a delay by postponing the production planning, you can use the delay, for example, to cope with a backlog in production.

Order

Enter the range of production orders whose operations you want to delay.

Planner

The logon code of the employee who plans plan items.

Shop Floor Planner

The person responsible for printing, (re)scheduling and releasing production orders and managing workloads.

Routing Group

A group of items with similar routing attributes, for example, the same work center, routing operation, BOM, and so on. A routing group is defined by the user as a selection criterion for production orders.

A group of products made by the same producer, that are similar but differ in details such as, size, shape, color, and so on. User-definable item grouping data, mainly used as an item selection criterion for reporting.

Product Class

User-definable item grouping data that is used to distinguish between different groups of items in a product line. The product class is mainly used as a selection criterion for reporting.

Selection Code

User-definable item grouping data. Use selection codes to select items by color, diameter, product expiry date, and so on.

Note

Selection codes are used for information purposes only.

Grouping Selection

If this check box is selected, the production planning of all the production orders in the SFC order group that you select are shifted. If any of the orders cannot be shifted, an error report is produced.

SFC Order Group

Current Date

The system date (usually today).

Direction

The planning method that determines in which direction the production planning dates are shifted.

Shift Planning to Date

The date to which you want to shift your production planning.

How the production planning is exactly shifted depends on whether you already worked on the production order:

  • If no operations have Completed status, the date in the Shift Planning to Date field is considered as the start date of the production order's first operation. Depending on the value of the Direction field, backward planning or forward planning of the production order takes place, as from the Shift Planning to Date.
  • If one or more operations have Completed status, the date in the Shift Planning to Date is considered the Start Date of the first operation with Active status. Depending on the value of the Direction field, backward planning or forward planning of the production order takes place, as from the Shift Planning to Date.

If you select Backward in the Direction field, only production orders are shifted for which the first operation starts after the Shift Planning to Date.

If you select Forward in the Direction field, only production orders are shifted for which the first operation starts before the Shift Planning to Date.
