performed especially for a particular customer order. A project is initiated by
a customer order for items having a To Order order policy. The purpose of a project is to plan and coordinate the production
of these items. For a standard-to-order production, the project is only
used to link the item with the customer order. Otherwise, a project can
include: - Customized item data (BOMs and routings)
- Project planning (activity planning)
A budget is a special type of project. A budget is used to
plan and estimate, not to carry out production. Project Type This field indicates whether the project is a main project, a
subproject, a single-level project or a budget. Currency The currency in which amounts
are expressed. Project Status Indicates the project progress. Cost Component User-defined category for costs used to break down the
product's cost price. The costs are allocated to the cost component. Budgeted Amount Variable The variable part of the budgeted costs which have been posted
to the relevant cost price component, when the estimated cost price is being
calculated for the project. These costs are operation costs, material costs,
etc. Note During the cost
price calculation for the project, the budgeted costs are loaded directly from
the budget calculation. Budgeted Amount Total The budgeted costs which have been posted to the relevant cost
price component, when the estimated cost price is being calculated for the
