| Rework order procedure for effectivity unitsA rework order is a production
order to fix or upgrade a manufactured or purchased item. If you create a rework order for an item, no operations are
linked to the order. This is because you do not know which operations are
required to fix the item. Only one item is inserted as estimated material for
the rework order: The end item itself. Operations and material to repair or
upgrade the end item must be inserted manually. To rework a specific effectivity unit, carry out the following
steps: - Create a new production order for the effectivity unit's end
item in the Production Orders (tisfc0501m000) session, or the Production Order (tisfc0101m100) session. Select the Rework Order check
box to change the production order to a rework order.
- Save the rework order. The order status remains Planned.
The end item for which you created the rework order now appears as an estimated
material line in the Production Order (tisfc0101m100) session, or in the Estimated Materials (ticst0101m000) session.
- Select the estimated material line. On the appropriate menu, click Estimated Material Distribution to start the Estimated Material Distribution (ticst0508m000) session. You can insert the effectivity
unit you want to rework. Save and close the Estimated Material Distribution (ticst0508m000) session.
- If you need extra material to rework the effectivity unit, you
must insert that material in the Production Order (tisfc0101m100) session, or in the Estimated Materials (ticst0101m000) session. You can link an operation in the Estimated Materials (ticst0101m000) details session.
- If you want to change the number of the effectivity unit,
specify the new number in the order distribution of the rework order. In the Production Order (tisfc0101m100) session or Production Orders (tisfc0501m000) session, on the appropriate menu, click Production Order Distribution to start the Production Order Distribution (tisfc0105m000) session. Click New, and insert the correct effectivity unit for the
rework order.
- Process the rework order the same way as a production order.
