Reporting main item or semifinished item quantities

In the Report Operations Completed (tisfc0130m000) details session, you can enter quantities as main item quantities or as semifinished item quantities. This distinction is only relevant, if the operation has been linked to a phantom item.

Example

A certain type of cabinet has 3 drawers. In the bill of material of a cabinet, these drawers have been defined as phantom items.

The following statements are equivalent, because 10 cabinets contain 30 drawers:

  • An operation has been completed for 30 drawers.
  • An operation has been completed for the drawers for 10 cabinets.

You can enter semifinished or main item quantities in the Report Operations Completed (tisfc0130m000) details session. You can switch between these two ways to enter quantities by clicking Toggle Main Item Qty / Semi - Finished Qty in the appropriate menu. In the Reported Item Quantities group box, the heading of the left column indicates whether you can enter semifinished quantities or main item quantities.
