Assembly Line - Line Mix (tiasc2501m000)

Use this session to view the line mix for an assembly line.

Assembly Line

A set of consecutive line stations in which FAS (Final Assembly Schedule) items are manufactured. The items are manufactured by passing the items from line station to line station and by carrying out operations at each line station. An assembly line is subdivided into a number of line segments separated by buffers. An assembly line can be either a main line or a supplying line.

Planned Offline Date

The date when an assembly item is planned to roll off the assembly line.

Initially, the planned offline date equals the requested offline date, but the planned offline date can be changed later for planning reasons.

Assembly Order

An order to assemble a product on one or more assembly lines.

Item

The generic item or manufactured item for which the Default Supply Source is Assembly.

Product Variant

A unique configuration of a configurable item. The variant results from the configuration process and includes information such as feature options, components, and operations.

Example

Configurable item: electric drill

Options:

  • 3 power sources (batteries, 12 V or 220 V)
  • 2 colors (blue, gray).

A total of 6 product variants can be produced with these options.

Assembly Start Date

The planned production start date and time.

Requested Offline Date

The date when an assembly item must roll off the assembly line in order to meet the delivery date on the sales order line.

Assembly Order Status

The status of the assembly order.

Blocked

When the blocking reasons are entered for the assembly order in assembly control, the assembly order is blocked for execution purposes. If the assembly order was blocked, the check box in this field is selected. If the assembly order is not blocked, the check box is cleared.

Effectivity Unit

Enables you to generate a requirements planning based on the combination of item and effectivity unit. The unit that is connected to the item is always the unit of the top item.

Unit Sequence

The sequence number of the effectivity unit.

Unit Series

A range of sequence numbers that is linked to an end item and represents one or more effectivity units. An effectivity series consists of a unit series code, a from-sequence number, and a to-sequence number. An effectivity series is identified by the unit series code and the from-sequence number. You can link one or more effectivity units to a combination of end item, unit series code, and from-sequence number.
