Open Periods (tfgld1206m100)

Use this session to open periods for administrative reasons. You can open the periods for a number of financial companies of the financial company group.

Opening periods

To open a period:

  1. Accept the defaulted job reference date or specify a different date.
  2. Indicate the year for which you want to open a period.
  3. Select the module for which you want to open a period.
  4. Specify a range of financial companies.
  5. Select the appropriate check boxes to specify the periods you want to open.

  6. Click the Open Periods button.

Note
  • Before you can open the periods for any of the other modules, you must open the periods for the General Ledger.
  • You can only specify reporting period types and period ranges if the Reporting Periods check box in the Group Company Parameters (tfgld0501m000) session is selected.

Settings
Job Reference Date

If this session is run in job mode, this date determines the year and periods.

Year

Select or enter the fiscal year to which the financial transactions are linked.

Module

Select the module for which you want to open the periods.

Note

Before you can open the periods for any of the other modules, you must open the periods for the General Ledger.

Selection Range
Financial Company

A company that is used for posting financial data in Financials. You can link one or more enterprise units from multiple logistic companies to one financial company.

Fiscal Period

If this check box is selected, you can specify a range of fiscal periods.

Reporting Period

If this check box is selected, you can specify a range of reporting periods.

Tax Period

If this check box is selected, you can specify a range of tax periods.
