Sales Order Line Component Estimated COGS (tdsls4165m000)

Use this session to view the estimated cost of goods sold (COGS) information for sales order component lines. The COGS information is based on the ordered quantity and is accumulated for a specific sales order component line.

Note

After deliveries are executed for a sales order component line, you can view the actual cost of goods sold (COGS) information in the Sales Order Line Component Actual Delivery COGS (tdsls4169m000) session.

 

Sales Order

A unique control number assigned to each new customer order, usually during order entry. A sales order number is often used by order promising, master scheduling, cost accounting, invoicing, and so on. For some make-to-order products, a sales order number can also take the place of an end item part number by becoming the control number that is scheduled through the finishing operations.

Position

The number used to identify the position of the order line on the sales or purchase order.

Sequence Number

The number used to identify in detail the position number of a sales order (delivery) line or a purchase order line (detail).

Component Sequence

The sequence number of the sales order component line.

Status

The status of the sales order component line.

The unit in which an item is sold.

Cost Component

A cost component is a user-defined category for the classification of costs.

Cost components have the following functions:

  • To break down an item's cost price, sales price, or valuation price.
  • To create a comparison between the estimated production order costs and the actual production order costs.
  • To calculate production variances.
  • To view the distribution of your costs over the various cost components in the Cost Accounting module.

Cost components can be of the following cost types:

  • Material Costs
  • Operation Costs
  • Surcharge on Material Costs
  • Surcharge on Operation Costs
  • WIP Transfer Costs
  • General Costs
Note

If you use Assembly Control (ASC), you cannot use cost components of the General Costs type.

This field displays the aggregated material cost component, as defaulted from the Material field of the Items - Costing (ticpr0107m000) session.
