Exceeding Contract Validity

The sales order/schedule line is not linked to the contract. On the contract line, you can define tolerances by which the expiry date or maximum quantity can be exceeded before the contract is skipped.

The sales order/schedule line is linked to the contract regardless of exceeding the contract validity.

When the sales order line is created, LN asks you whether you want to link the sales order line to the contract. For sales schedules, this option is not applicable and functions as the Skip Contract option without using tolerances.
