Lot and Serial Set (tcibd4111m000)Use this session to display and maintain the lots and serial numbers that belong to a lot and serial set. In case of direct delivery, LN creates a lot and serial set when an advance shipping notice (ASN) is received. This information is sent to Service and Invoicing. Note You cannot start this session directly. To access this session, click the Lot and Serial Set button in sessions such as the Purchase Receipts (tdpur4106m000), Sales Order Actual Delivery Lines (tdsls4106m000), and Service Order Actual Material Costs (tssoc2121m000). To reclaim space in the database, delete unused lot and serial sets periodically. To delete unused lot and serial sets, on the appropriate menu, click Delete Unused Sets.
Lots and Serials Set Number An internal identification code for the lot and serial set. Usually, this code is not visible to end users. Sequence The number that identifies a data record or a step in a sequence of activities. Sequence numbers are used in many contexts. Usually LN generates the sequence number for the next item or step. Depending on the context, you can overwrite this number. You can sometimes influence the numbering by setting the corresponding parameters. Lot A number of items produced and stored together that are identified by a (lot) code. Lots identify goods. Serial Number The unique identification of a single physical item. LN uses a mask to generate the serial number. The serial number can consist of multiple data segments that represent, for example, a date, model and color information, sequence number, and so on. Serial numbers can be generated for items and for tools. Quantity in Inventory Unit The quantity expressed in inventory unit.
Modify Allows you to modify the composition of the lot and serial set. Delete Unused Sets Deletes lot and serial sets that are no longer used.
