Addresses (tccom4530m000)

Use this session to view addresses, which you can enter or maintain in the Addresses (tccom4130s000) details session.

Note

If the Add Address field is set to Yes or Master Data Only in the BOD Parameters (tcbod0100m000) session, addresses can be generated from a Business Object Document (BOD).

 

Address Code

The code for the address.

If you create a new address and the Addresses check box is selected in the COM Parameters (tccom0000s000) session, LN automatically generates an address code based on the specified number group and series.

If the Addresses check box is cleared, you can enter a code for a new address.

Name

The description or name of the code.

Country

Countries are the national states where your suppliers and customers are located. For each country you can define the country code, international dialing, telex, and fax codes.

Countries are part of the data that you must set up for tax reporting. In addition, items can be grouped and selected according to their country of origin.

Note

Exchange of adress data between LN and an external package, is based ISO Code alpha-2 codes.

LN uses this field to determine the country of a financial company. If the financial company that is linked to the enterprise unit of a sales office resides in an EU member country, the European Union (EU) VAT rules apply to the sales transactions.

State/Province

The code of the state or the (Canadian) province.

ZIP Code/Postal Code

A number that identifies each postal delivery area.

ZIP codes are used:

  • To sort customer data by address/area.
  • To determine in which taxation jurisdiction the address is located.
  • To calculate the distances between delivery addresses.

ZIP codes are printed on forwarding documents on which no further address data is printed. The ZIP/postal code does not appear in the address lines on order documents.

If you have already defined an address with the same ZIP/postal code, LN displays a warning message, showing the other address' ZIP/postal code.

If you defined a ZIP code or postal code mask in the Countries (tcmcs0110s000) session, LN checks the ZIP code against the mask.

In addition, the ZIP code length must at least be equal to the ZIP Code Base defined for the country in the Countries (tcmcs0110s000) session. For example, if the ZIP code base is 3, the ZIP code that you enter must be three or more characters.

Search Key

The address' search key.

Default value

The first 16 characters of the Name field. Periods and any characters preceding them are not included in the search key.

Name 2

Part two or any other additional text of the Name field.

City

The code of the city, which you can select from the Cities by Country (tccom4539m000) session.

City 2

Part two or any other additional text of the City field.

Street

The street name.

If the name consists of more than one part, or does not fit in this field, you can enter the second part in the Street 2 field.

You can then print the parts of the streets on separate lines on orders and other documents.

Part two or any other additional text of the Street field.

House Number

The house number.

If you specify the house number, you cannot enter a value in the P.O. Box Number field.

Composed Address

The composed, full address.

P.O. Box Number

The post-office box number.

If you specify the post-office box number, you cannot enter a value in the House Number field.

Building

The identification of the building.

Floor

The floor in the building.

Unit

The unit in the building.

Time Zone

The time zone for resources that have this address.

The default time zones are the time zones that you specify:

  • In the States/Provinces (tcmcs1143m000) session.
  • In the Countries (tcmcs0110s000) session.

If you do not enter a default time zone for the country, state, or province, you must enter the time zone for each address.

  • If this field is filled, each time an update is made to a field that is specified in the address format, the address line (1-6) fields are also updated.
  • Leave this field empty if you want to upload address lines in LN from the Update Address Formats (tccom4235m000) session. In this way, the address line (1-6) fields are only updated after running the Update Address Formats (tccom4235m000) session.

The country's international access-number for the fax.

The country's international access-number for the telex.

This field is used for information only.

Website

A hyperlink to the internet address that informs you how to reach the address.

This field is used for information only.

E-mail

The address' main e-mail address.

This field is used for information only.

E-Mail Address Type

The type of the address' main e-mail address. This field is used for information only.

If the address type is not in the list, select Not Applicable.

SMS Number

The preferred cell phone number to which you can send an SMS (Short Message Service) message for the person or company that uses this address.

This field is used for information only.

SITA Address

The SITA (Societe Internationale de Telecommunications Aeronautiques) address of the company or person who uses this address.

This field is used for information only.

Default Messaging

The communication type to be used by default for this address. This field is used for information only.

If you have specified any communication address or number in the preceding fields, you cannot select Not Applicable.

Local Tax Number

The fiscal number assigned by the local tax office. If the business partner that uses this address has a European tax number and a local tax number, this is the local tax number.

In some countries, for example, in Germany, businesses can have a European tax number and a local tax number. Both tax numbers must be printed on invoices. The European tax number must be printed on the sales listing and the intrastat report.

GEO Code

The code used together with or instead of address information such as the city, state/province, and postal code to identify a taxing jurisdiction.

The tax provider determines the GEO code based upon the address information entered and the county and city selected.

Address Format

The address format that is used to retrieve and print the correct address data.

If you leave this field empty, LN uses the format selected for the country, or the default address format.

Route

The default route to which you assign this address.

If this is a business partner's address, you can specify a different route on the actual order.

The calendar to be used for this address.

Created by

The user who created the address data.

Creation Date

The date and time when the address data was created.

Last Modified by

The user who last modified the address data.

Date Last Modification

The date and time when the address data was changed. This field is used as a selection criterion in the Delete Unused Addresses (tccom4230m000) session.

Front Office ID

The ID for the address generated by a front office application.

Creator's Unique System ID

The system ID of the user who defined the address.
