Plan Board (fmlbd0215m000)This session provides a graphical interface to create or modify load plans. Change shipping office A load plan is based on a number of freight orders that are allocated to the same shipping office. If the freight orders for which you want to create a load plan, or if the load plans that you want to modify do not belong to the shipping office that you selected when accessing this session, you can select another shipping office. For further information on freight order allocation to shipping offices, see Freight order grouping. Change company If the shipping office and related planning data that you want to maintain belong to another company, select Change Company on the Tools menu. As a result, the company is only changed for your plan board session. The company that you are working in for LN remains unchanged. Multi-site environments In the plan board you can switch to other logistic companies, that is, freight planning companies. All planning options in the plan board take place in the current freight planning company of the user for a selected shipping office. The shipping office selection window only displays shipping offices that are setup as freight planning companies in the current company of the user. For more information, refer to Freight Management in multisite environments. To create load plans You can create load plans for all freight orders with statuses ranging from Expected to Actual that are allocated to the planning groups of the selected shipping office. To obtain the best results, you can create various load plans for the same (group of) freight order(s), each time using a different planning algorithm. For more information, refer to To create load plans using the Plan Board (fmlbd0215m000). To create a working load plan A working load plan is a temporary load plan, which is copied from an existing load plan. You can use a working load plan for testing purposes. You can use the working load plan to experiment with without affecting the original load plan. To create a working load plan, proceed as follows:
To modify load plans You can modify all load plans created from the freight orders related to the selected shipping office and planning group. You can change load plan data, for example, by making a plan Actual or recalculating the freight costs for the load plan. You can also change the contents of a load plan, for example, by adding, deleting, or moving loads, shipments, and shipment lines. For more information, refer to To modify load plans using the Plan Board (fmlbd0215m000). To delete load plans You can delete load plans displayed in the Load Plans pane, and loads, shipments, and shipment lines displayed in the Loads and Shipments pane. For more information, refer to To modify load plans using the Plan Board (fmlbd0215m000).
