that control the way the Load Building module works. Effective Date effective date. In the actual set,
or parameter set, the Effective Date field is empty, but the effective date is taken as the default value in the Description field. In parameter sets
that precede the actual set, the effective date is displayed in the Effective Date field. If you make a change
in the actual set, the changed set becomes the new actual set. Series for Shipments The series that must be used for
shipments originating from Freight. Series for Loads The series that must be used for
loads created in Freight. Log Planning History The available settings in this field control the way planning
history is recorded. Trace Load Plan Changes Performance aspects The setting of this field could affect system performance and database growth. For more information, refer to History data. Actualize Plan with Planned WH Orders If this check box is selected, you can actualize load
plans based on freight orders generated from warehousing orders with status Planned. Trace Load Plan Changes The available settings in this field control the way LN records load plan
changes. Trace Load Plan Changes Performance aspects The setting of this field could affect system performance and database growth. For more information, refer to Trace load plan changes. Default Planning Algorithm The planning algorithm that is
taken as default in the Generate Plan (fmlbd0280m000) session. Check TMG and TMC Availability If this check box is selected, the capacity of the
available transport means groups or transport means combinations is checked
when load building is carried out. The capacity of a transport means groups is calculated by
multiplying the transport means group capacity defined in the Transport Means Groups (fmfmd0150m000) session by the number of vehicles defined in
the Transport Means Groups by Carrier/LSP (fmfmd0152m000) session. The capacity of a transport means combinations s is
calculated by multiplying the transport means combination capacity defined in
the Transport Means Groups (fmfmd0150m000) session by the number of transport means
combinations defined in the Transport Means Combinations by Carrier/LSP (fmfmd0144m000) session. Note that the
capacity of a transport means combination is derived from the transport means
groups attached to the vehicle types of the transport means
combination. For example, if carrier ABC has transport means combination
TMC1. The number of combinations defined in the Transport Means Combinations by Carrier/LSP (fmfmd0144m000) session is 10. Transport means
combination TMC1 has vehicle type TRAILER with transport means group TMG A. The
loading capacity of TMG A is 20 tons. Therefore, the total loading capacity of
TMC1 is 10 (number of combinations) * 20 tons (capacity of the transport means
group) = 200 tons. The load building engine checks how much of the total
loading capacity of the available transport means groups or transport means
combinations is allocated to loads with the Actual or
higher than Actual status. A load plan cannot be created for a
particular group of freight orders if the capacity of the available transport
means groups or transport means combinations is insufficient. The load building engine checks both the capacity and the
numbers of both transport means groups and transport means combinations, as you
can see in the following example. The numbers of available transport means
groups are maintained in the Number ofMeans ofTransport field of the Transport Means Groups by Carrier/LSP (fmfmd0152m000) session, and the numbers of
available transport means combinations are maintained in the Number of Combinations field of the Transport Means Combinations by Carrier/LSP (fmfmd0144m000) session. A carrier has the following fleet: - Eight trucks, each with a capacity of 10 tons. These trucks
are defined as TMG1.
- Five large trailers, each with a capacity of 20 tons. These
trailers are defined as TMG2.
- Four smaller trailers, each with a capacity of 15 tons.
These trailers are defined as TMG3.
You can attach a large trailer or a small trailer to a
truck. The carrier has modeled this as follows: - Transport means combination TMC1 includes five combinations
consisting of one truck and one large trailer.
- Transport means combination TMC2 includes four combinations
consisting of one truck and one small trailer.
In this situation, you cannot plan, for example, five TMC1
and four TMC2 simultaneously, because the carrier has only eight trucks (as
defined in TMG1). Thus in the load building process both the number of TMGs and
the number of TMCs is taken into account if this check box is selected. If this check box is cleared, transport means group or
transport means combination capacity is not taken into account in load
building. If your organization does not have a fleet of its own, the option to
include transport means group capacity is, generally speaking, of minor
importance. External updates on actual plans allowed If this check box is selected, LN allows unauthorized users from other packages such as Warehousing and Invoicing to
confirm shipments or process invoices. If this check box is selected, LN allows users to modify actual information in freight sessions directly. Note The freight loads and shipments only in the Actual status can be updated. If this check box is cleared, you must define the users in the Users by Shipping Office and Planning Group (fmfoc1105m000) session to allow the users
to create or update freight information . Series for Plans The series that must be used for
load plans created in Freight. Split Shipments during planning If this check box is selected, the shipment lines
created from a freight order line can go into different loads. If this check box is cleared, the
shipment lines must be contained in one load. This can result in huge loads
that may cause planning constraints. Series for Loads The series that must be used for
loads originating from Warehousing. Loads created in Warehousing are not planned by the load
building engine of Freight. They can be viewed in Freight, and you
can calculate freight costs for such loads. Series for Plans The series that must be used for
load plans created in Warehousing. Load plans created in Warehousing are not
planned by the load building engine of Freight. They can
be viewed in Freight, and you can calculate freight costs for such load plans. Series for Shipments The series that must be used for
shipments originating from Warehousing. Shipments created in Warehousing are not
planned by the load building engine of Freight. They can
be viewed in Freight, and you can calculate freight costs for such shipments. First Line for Additional Costs The first position number for shipment lines that contain additional costs. Step Size for Additional Cost Line The interval for additional cost line numbers, for example 10,
20, 30, or 5, 10, 15. Carrier/LSP Selection Criterion The default value for the Carrier/LSP Selection Criterion field in the Generate Plan (fmlbd0280m000) session and the Generate Freight Order Clusters (fmfoc3200m000) session. The available carrier
selection criteria are used to select the best combination of carrier, standard
route, and route plan during load building, lead time calculation, or freight
order clustering. Automatically Change from 'Confirmed' to 'Shipped' If this check box is selected, shipments and loads that
receive the Confirmed status in the Planned Loads/Shipments (whinh4180m000) session of Warehousing,
automatically receive the Shipped status in Freight. If this check box is cleared, you
can change the status of Confirmed loads and shipments in the Confirm Delivery / Receipt (fmlbd3252m000) session. External Planning Engine If this check box is selected, external planning
engines included in your configuration become available. Step Size for Shipment Line In this field you can define the interval for shipment line
numbers, for example 10, 20, 30, or 5, 10, 15. Thus the first shipment line
obtains number 10, the second obtains number 20, and the third obtains number
30; or the first shipment line obtains number 5, the second obtains number 10,
and so on. Update Actual Load Data This parameter determines whether replanning of load plans that
have the Actual status is enabled. If
replanning is enabled, you can select how replanning is performed. Performance aspects The setting of this field could affect system performance and database growth. For more information, refer to Update actual load data. Replanning of Freight Orders The setting that you select in this session is taken as the
default setting in the Replanning of Freight Orders field in the Generate Plan (fmlbd0280m000) session. Addition through Load/Shipment Status Allow addition of lines to shipments and shipments to loads for
loads and shipments with statuses up to and including the selected
