A code that represents a set of standards (such as ANSI X12, UN/EDIFACT, and VDA) used in EDI communication.
Conversion Setups (Relationships) (ecedi5112m000)Use this session to define conversion setup relationships. Click Print on the toolbar to use the Print Conversion Setups (ecedi5410m000) session to print conversion setup information. Note If you started this session by zooming, you can only find and select a record.
Organization A code that represents a set of standards (such as ANSI X12, UN/EDIFACT, and VDA) used in EDI communication. Organization The description or name of the code. EDI Message The incoming and/or outgoing messages that are supported by the application. These messages can be active (actually used within the company) or not. EDI Message The description or name of the code. Direction The direction of the EDI message. Field Type The ASCII file format. Note A conversion setup can be created for files in which the fields areseparated by a field separator, or that have a fixed length. Level The level of the related ASCII file. Note For EDI messages that follow a multiple file format, each file has its own level. The first level (level 1) contains the main file. Lower levels always have higher numbers. For EDI messages that follow a single file format, a level refers to a type of record that is identified by a level identifier. File Name The name of the ASCII file for the relevant level. File Name The description or name of the code. Processing Sequence The processing sequence for this level. Start Position Key The position of the field in the line. Note If the Field Type field in the Networks (ecedi0120s000) session is Fixed Length, you must enter the physical starting position of the field. If the Field Type field in the Networks (ecedi0120s000) session is Delimited, you must enter the field number, starting with number 1. Key Length The length of the key. If the Field Type field in the Networks (ecedi0120s000) session is Fixed Length, you must enter the physical length of the key. If the Field Type field in the Networks (ecedi0120s000) session is Delimited, you must enter the number of fields. Related Level The related level. Note This level exists above the current level. The related level's (parent) sequence number must therefore be lower than that of the current level and its processing sequence cannot be iterative. Start Position Key Related Level The position of the key at the related level. Note If the Field Type field in the Networks (ecedi0120s000) session is Fixed Length, you must enter the physical starting position of the key. If the Field Type field in the Networks (ecedi0120s000) session is Delimited, you must enter the field number, starting with number 1. Count Level If this check box is selected, the number of written records at this level will be counted. The results are stored in the EDI Messages Supported by Business Partner (ecedi0111s000) session, but they cannot be displayed. Level Identification The level identification associated with the conversion setup level. This value is used for messages in which the File Layout field is Single, as defined in the EDI Messages (ecedi0105s000) session. In addition, the level identification value identifies each level. Note The position and length of the level identification, in the conversion setup for the associated message, is defined in the EDI Messages (ecedi0105s000) session. If a message is received, the ASCII file in which the message resides must contain each record's appropriate level identification in the position specified. File Presence Whether the presence of a file is mandatory. For example, files that contain text segments are optional.
