Quarantine inventory

In Infor LN 10.4, the functionality for rejected inventory handling is changed. Rejected inventory handling is renamed to Quarantine inventory.

This functionality can now be launched for goods rejected during inbound or outbound inspection after warehouse:

  • Issues for sales orders and sales schedules
  • Receipts for sales order returns
  • Receipts and issues for Enterprise Planning distribution orders
  • Receipts and issues for Warehousing transfer orders
  • Issues for components to Manufacturing
  • Receipts of end products or components returned from Manufacturing

Quarantine inventory also supports handling of items rejected upon completion of a production operation that are sent to quarantine without undergoing a warehouse inspection first.

For items in quarantine, the following disposition decisions are available:

  • Use As Is
  • No Fault Found
  • Scrap
  • Return to Vendor
  • Rework (to Existing Specification)
  • Rework (to New Specification)
  • Reclassify

If Non-conformance materials reporting (NCMR) is activated in Quality and the quarantine functionality is activated in Warehousing, quarantine handling is managed from the NCMR report.
