Material PricingPrices of materials such as copper, silver, gold, and aluminum often fluctuate. Because these prices usually represent a significant part of the finished goods' value, specific and tight controls are required to minimize risk and exposure. In Infor LN 10.4, the Material Pricing check box is added to the Implemented Software Components (tccom0500m000) session. If this check box is selected, you can use Material Pricing to account for price increases of materials. Material Pricing is displayed in the Infor LN menu under Common. To account for price increases of materials and to cover additional material-related costs, you use material price surcharges and material price surcharge costs. The material price, which can be calculated for purchase and sales documents, is automatically included in the (document line) price. These documents then include real time prices.
