The employee's code.
Assignments (bpmdm0130m000)Use this session to define and modify assignments per employee. You can use assignments to facilitate efficient data entry in the hours accounting sessions. In this session, assignments are displayed that originate from Project through the Update Assignments in Hours Accounting (tpptc2211m000) session. Only projects with status Active can update assignments. On the Project tab, the Assignment Origin field will display Project. If you change a project assignment, note that the budget line is not updated. To specify recurrence, on the General tab, in the Recurrence field, zoom to the Recurrences (tcccp0143m000) session. How to use assignments The assignments you enter in the Assignments (bpmdm0130m000) session provide the employee with a list of predefined tasks in the hours accounting sessions. The employee can decide to retrieve only those assignments for the current period. If a recurrent assignment is displayed, for example, a weekly meeting, the employee can book hours on the selected assignment as if the assignment were a task. When you enter a new assignment, not all fields are mandatory. However, if you wish to use an assignment in an hours accounting session, you must enter all fields, otherwise, you will get an error message. You can decide to leave the labor time of the assignment empty. This means that LN generates zero lines in the hours accounting session. If the employee does not edit these generated hours entries, zero lines are automatically deleted when the hours are processed. Note
General Employee The employee's code. Transaction Type An assignment can only become a task for the employee if the assignment is linked to a transaction type. Allowed values See Transaction Type Recurrence A repetition of dates, such as “Biweekly on Mondays and Fridays”, “The 27th of each month”, or “The first Monday in June of every 5th year”. You can zoom to the Recurrences (tcccp0143m000) session to select a recurrence. Assignment Origin Pattern Pattern The description of the pattern retrieved from the Recurrences (tcccp0143m000) session. Time Details Working Time Schedule A working time schedule code linked to the assignment. Registration/Start Date The start date. End Date The end date of the job or task. Start Time The time at which the employee is scheduled to start working on the assignment. End Time The time at which the employee is scheduled to finish working on the assignment. Labor Time The amount of time spent by an employee on a task or activity. Note If the hours originate from Project, the assignment is a daily assignment and the calculated time per day per entered hours is displayed. Labor Time The time unit in which the machine time is expressed. Labor Type The classification of work performed, and the time of day at which the work is performed (either normal working hours or overtime). Based on the kind of work and the hour type, you can use labor types to specify surcharges so that LN can calculate the actual labor costs in People. You can zoom to the Labor Types (tcppl0130m000) session to select a labor type. Overtime If this check box is selected, the hours entered for the assignment are calculated as overtime. You cannot manually change this setting: it is determined by the labor type. General Task A user-defined task that does not contribute or relate to the costs of a specific order or project. In LN, two types of general tasks exist:
Cost Component A cost component is a collection of cost objects with a certain characteristic. A cost component does not depend on the cost type, therefore, for example, a project can be monitored from another dimension. For example, all the costs that refer to electrical work, for example, cable and installation work, are visible if the applicable cost objects are linked to the cost component Electrical work. Assembly Line A set of consecutive line stations in which FAS (Final Assembly Schedule) items are manufactured. The items are manufactured by passing the items from line station to line station and by carrying out operations at each line station. An assembly line is subdivided into a number of line segments separated by buffers. An assembly line can be either a main line or a supplying line. Department Enter an assembly station. Labor Line The labor line. Travel Line The travel line. Project The project code. Activity The smallest part of the activity structure used for a time-scaled budget. An entity that is used to represent a part of a project in an activity structure. LN distinguishes these activity types:
Production Order An order to produce a specified quantity of an item on a specified delivery date. Operation One of a series of steps in a routing that are carried out successively to produce an item. The following data is collected during a routing operation:
This data is used to compute order lead times, to plan production orders and to calculate cost prices. Task An activity to manufacture or repair an item. For example, sawing, drilling, or painting. A task is carried out on a work center, and can be related to a machine. Element The smallest part of an element structure. An element is used to define the (structure of the) work of the project, so that you can carry it out. Task The task name that appears in the Project Hours (bptmm1111m000) session. Extension The specific agreements within or in addition to the initial contract. An extension falls outside the initial contract with the sold-to business partner. Extensions can be assigned to the bottom-up budget. LN distinguishes four extension types:
Activity Line The activity line number. Machine In LN, a mechanical object on which operations can be carried out to produce items. Machines are linked to operation rates. The operation rate and the labor rate together form the basis for the actual costing of production orders. Reference Activity A group activity or a single activity (directive) that is planned for a serialized item or Installation group. Service Task The task name that appears in the Service Order Hours (bptmm1130m000) session.
