Employees - People (bpmdm0101m000)

Use this session to maintain People-related employee data.

You can maintain a selected employee's:

  • Personal information.
  • Employment information.
Note

You can only use this session to maintain People-related employee data. Use the Employees - General (tccom0101m000) session to define general employee data and enter new employees.

 

Employee

The employee's code.

Employee

The employee's name.

General
Address Code

The employee's personal address.

Note

You can define and modify address codes and their related data in the Addresses (tccom4530m000) session in Common.

Gender

The employee's gender.

Note

You can use the Not Applicable setting if the employee's gender is unknown or not relevant, for example, in case of backflushing.

Civil Status

The employee's marital status.

Date of Birth

The employee's date of birth.

Fiscal Number

A social security number that is issued to persons who are employed. It is used by fiscal authorities for tracking the financial transactions of employees.

Bank Account

The employee's bank account number.

Partner

The name of the employee's partner.

Communication
Office

The employee's telephone number at the business address.

Home

The employee's telephone number at the home address.

Mobile

The employee's mobile phone number.

Fax

The employee's fax number.

E-Mail

The employee's e-mail address.

Note

The e-mail address is used as part of the review processes in Object Data Management.

Messenger Type

The type of messenger the employee uses.

  • AOL
  • MSN
  • Skype
  • Yahoo
  • Not Applicable
Messenger Address

The employee's messenger ID for the selected messenger type.

Employment Data
Department

The employee's department. LN uses this information to calculate the department's capacity for planning.

Job Title

The employee's job title.

Working Time Schedule

The working time schedule that is used for the employee's hours accounting.

Employment

The number of regular hours that an employee works per defined period.

Note

The time span depends on the period table code defined in the People Parameters (bpmdm0100m000) session.

The employment hours amount is used in these sessions:

  • Hours accounting sessions

    In these sessions you can maintain hours for the employee. If the employee's number of regular hours entered for a specific period exceeds the value in the Employment field, LN displays a warning message.

  • Global (Undo) Approve Hours and Expenses (bptmm1202m000)

    If the Hours Check (Regular Time) check box is selected, LN compares the hours for that period with the value entered in the Employment field. If the values do not match, LN generates an error report.

Employee Type

Employee Type

  • Internal

    A person permanently employed by the organization.

  • External

    A person who is not on the payroll of the organization. Yet, the external employee will be used for planning purposes. Additionally, the external employee's time spent can be entered.

Buy-from Business Partner

In case of an external employee, the buy-from business partner can be registered.

First Date of Employment

Also known as hire date, the date on which the employee joins the organization.

Note
  • LN checks the value in this field when you enter hours in an hours accounting session.
  • You can only enter employee hours if the start date is later than the first date of employment.
Last Date of Employment

Also known as termination date, the date on which the employee leaves the organization.

Note

You can only enter employee hours if the date is before the last date of employment.

Contract Data
Type of Employment Contract

A description of the contract, for example, "part-time".

Contract End Date

The date at which the contract expires.

Registration Number

The contract number.

If this check box is selected, a text is present.
