Delete / Archive Lots (whltc1200m000)

Use this session to delete or archive lot data.

You can only delete lots for which the following value is zero:

Note
  • To remove related lot tracking data or serial data, select the Delete Lot Tracking check box.
  • You can also print the data that is deleted by selecting the Print Processed Lots check box. If the Print Processed Lots check box is cleared, the Print Lot Text check box is disabled.

Lot Date

The From and To fields define a range of: lot dates. The lots are deleted or archived based on the specified range of dates. The date that you specify in the Lot Date (From) field is also defaulted to the Lot Date (To) field.

Options
Delete or Archive

Select the following options to:

  • Delete
    Delete lot data
  • Archive
    Archive lot data in the archive company
  • Both
    Archive lot data in the archive company and delete lot data in the current company
Delete Lot Tracking

If this check box is selected, lot tracking for the selected lots will no longer be possible.

Archive General Data

If this check box is selected, general transaction data is archived. This option is recommended.

General lot data from the following sessions is archived:

  • Item - Lot (whltc1100m000)
  • Lot Selection Codes (whltc1110m000)
  • Lot - Cost details (whltc1501m000)
  • Lot Inventory Variances (whltc1503m000)
  • Lot Inventory Variance Cost Details (whltc1504m000)

If this check box is cleared, a warning message appears informing you that not archiving general data may result in reference errors.

Archive Text

If this check box is selected, lot texts are also archived.

Overwrite Text

If this check box is selected, and a lot text is present in the archive company, the archive text is replaced by the current one.

Settings
Lot Type

The origin of the lot.

  • Purchase
    The lot was purchased.
  • Production
    The lot was produced.
Currency

The home currency.

Archive Up to Lot Date

Lots with lot dates up to the specified lot date are archived or deleted.

Archive Company

The company where the lot data is archived.

Reports
Print Processed Lots

If this check box is selected, LN prints the deleted lot data. If option Delete or Both is selected, the deleted lots are printed. If option Archive is selected, the archived lots are printed.

Print Lot Text

If this check box is selected, LN prints the text of the deleted lot data.

Note

If the Print Processed Lots check box is cleared, this check box is disabled.

Print Error Report

If this check box is selected, LN prints an error report.

 

Continue

Use this command to start deleting or archiving lot data. If you selected option Delete, the question “Delete records without archiving?" appears after clicking this command. If you select No, the deletion or archiving process stops.
